Clearly, he meant lost both of the second half of back to back, where they played the same goaltender.

Clearly its a mental issue with Smith, because he plays well in the 3rd and once he is warmed up. He still has the skill and physical tools to play well, he'll get going eventually and start bailing the team out.

I was looking at the league-wide goalie stats and noticed something... When you rank all of this season's NHL goalies by save percentage, each of the bottom four and five of the bottom eight are named Mike, Michael, or Michal.
I think it's clear what's happening here: Someone put a gypsy curse on all goalies named Mike. It's probably the same person who keeps Vernon out of the Hall of Fame.
Something must be done to reverse the Mike Curse.

The thing that gives me some hope that things will turn around for Smith is that there are a bunch of good goalies that are all over the place early. Price, Jones, and Murray have numbers sub .900.
Smith just needs more red cars and clowns thrown his way.

No issues with Johnny's hand or ribs after the Anaheim game?

Wrong season. Team doesn’t need bailing out. They need a goalie that they don’t have to bail out.

Start Rittich tomorrow vs Sharks. Wasn't tested all that much until the third and he's had a full week off before starting tonight. He's well rested, let the better goalie take the ball and run with it.
