I would like to have another look at Poirier to see if there has been any improvement. Maybe bring up Goloubef to see if he can be a bottom pairing defenseman.

Our GM needs to admit that we are out.

If I was the GM, the coach would be gone. My interim until end of season would be Gelinas or Conroy.

I’d use my last call ups. Kilington for sure. A forward that might help my bottom 6 next year based on feedback from the group. Might be Foo. Would like to see how much progression and if I think he can help next year. If so definitely want to see him on PP.

Specific instructions would be:
Play Anderson a ton. Play him on both sides. Blender the pairings each game. Same for Kilington. I want to see different looks and have a good sense of the D if I trade D named X or D named Y.

Play Shore a lot. I want to know how or if he fits next year. Want to see him at Center and Wing.

Blender the forwards. I want to see different pairs. Show me JG with Bennet at C. Show me different looks.

And... show me some hockey with different constraints (less?) that might allow more scoring off the transition / rush and a more active D. I want more (different) information to make my offseason decisions.

The timbits who play at the intermission would look good in Flames colors!

Maybe Bennett can get into the teens for goal scoring, maybe he can get 30 pts. Another awful year for him.

Play Lazar with skilled players to see what he can do.

Sit the ones nursing injuries and call up a couple young bloods to see if they can show something at the NHL level.

Separate backlund and frolik for damn once to see if they can play better with someone else.

Try radically different #### with the PP because everything you've tried up till now hasn't done crap all.

Let the players play and burn whatever mediocre system they've been employing to the ground so that maybe we can finish the season with an iota of confidence.

This.

Let them play river hockey from here on out.

It won't happen, of course ...because GG

Thats what happens when you play with Brouwer for 1/3 of the season. That guy is a cancer to any line he is on, except the 4th line which oddly works with Stajan.

I feel you need to put a player in a position to succeed, only a small select players can create something out of nothing on a continuous basis.

i can bet anything Ferland would not get the production and credit he did this year playing with Brouwer.

Gee, you mean playing with Monahan and Gaudreau is better than playing with Brouwer? Hot take.

Send out Brouwer, Stewart, Glass, Bartowski, Andersson on the PP and chug a drink for every time they fail to enter the zone

If you're looking to drink more, put Hathaway, Stajan or Lazar on the point instead of Andersson and watch their cannons
