Personally, I'm probably finished with hockey for a while at the end of the regular season. If that makes me not a hockey fan but a Flames fan, yeah, I can live with that. However as I've stated before, I've become not much of a Flames fan either.

After the loss last night, well during the loss, I was sitting on the interweb doing the following searches

Calgary Midget Football Schedule - Jamboree starts this Tuesday and the season soon after.

WWCFL Football - Hmm no schedule yet, but I think the season starts at the end of April.

CFL Draft May 3rd

CFL Rookie camps - May 16th, main camp May 27th

June Bantam football evaluation camps, June

August 1st - Bantam practices begin.

My TV time will be split between the Jays/Raps/Preds/Golden Knights but not tuning in every single night to watch. Its starting to get nicer outside and I'll be spending majority of it away from the TV until the fall rolls around again.

Once the Stamps come back I'll be tuning into that over hockey.

i absolutely keep watching the playoffs

in past years i've had to whip up jerseys for myself for whoever is playing against the canucks or oil, but since both of them were out of playoff contention before christmas that has not been a concern!

i am looking forward to this summer so much. last summer absolutely sucked as my dad's health declined. this summer will have lots of fun stuff to do with the kids, lots of fun wood working projects to look forward to and also continue to help my mom downsize (which is kind of a downer, but she needs top start going thru stuff). ...oh... and firing up the smoker... a lot!!

Its gonna be hard to get excited for the Stamps this season...they could win every regular season game and it won't matter

I watch playoffs. It's the most wonderful time of the year.

While I miss the highs of seeing my team win a big game, or even a series. I don't miss the lows. In a weird sort of way, I almost enjoy the playoffs more when the Flames aren't participating, yet at the same time they have less meaning to me. When the Flames are in it is mandatory to catch all the Flames games. When the Flames aren't in, I hope to catch most games, but it doesn't matter which series I follow, or if I completely follow one particular series, it's just enjoying to watch playoff hockey.

I love hockey.

Won't care about the draft or the UFA Sweepstakes until a new head coach is hired (or at least until the current coaching staff is gone).

Will be cheering for the Devils to make the playoffs and win the Cup though...

I just miss football! Any kind of football thats not arena league. I'd even watch the XFL! lol.

The NHL just doesn't do it for me anymore. Reffing, lack of hitting and fighting just spoils the experience. Not watching anymore hockey this year after the remaining Flames games.

My take would have been word for word.

I love the playoffs!

I'm excited about the playoffs. Best hockey of the year in the first two rounds in particular. It's unfortunate the Flames will not be a part of that but really Flames fans by now should be somewhat conditioned for this.

There is better fighting in another sport called MMA. If your hockey experience depends on two guys in equipment wrestling standing up mixing in a few punches occasionally, hockey might not be for you

If the Flames are out, I would buy a paddle board and spend the spring and summer outside!

Raptors, MMA, some xbox/pc gaming, getting outside lots with my dog as the weather improves. I always watch the playoffs but I tune in most during the first couple rounds.

I'll watch more hockey in the playoffs - NHL playoff hockey is the best sport around. Night and day better than the regular season. Especially the first two rounds.

Usually I just tune into the most exciting series and arbitrarily choose a team to cheer for, which often changes round to round. Or go with whatever team I loaded up on in my playoff pool. But for the first time in my life, I'm going to pick a team other than the Flames and stick when them - the Jets.

Lots of other sports/leagues of interest... more than I have free time. WHL playoff games, watch some soccer, NBA playoffs might suck me in if the Raptors or Blazers go on a run, maybe even catch a jays game or two if the have an interesting team.

Tiger's comeback and all the Canadians rising up in tennis are another couple interesting background stories too.

Unfortunately for the Flames they've got lots of competition entertainment wise and after a year where they whined for public money and stepped in it during the civic election it's a little easier to move on from them this year. Probably won't watch any NHL playoffs, I usually just watch to see the flames games and cheer against the Oilers and Canucks. Maybe if Winnipeg or Toronto go deep might get my attention.

I will watch some playoffs. Probably watch more basketball than hockey due to the Flames being so disappointing

Go on youtube and watch some games from 20-30 years ago and hear the excitement in the building.
