Finnish TV recently showed this. Surprisingly good documentary about a topic that I thought was sort of beaten to death. Discusses how the Vatican and the Catcholic church has systematically and actively protected child abusers among it's ranks at least since 1880, but possibly the practices going back as far as the 4th century.
By Alex Gibney (Casino Jack, Catching Hell, Gonzo, among others).

I just finished the Mea Maxima Culpa doc just now, and yes agreed that was a really moving and excellently done documentary. 8/10
Have a few to talk about, starting with this excellent doc about a senior Scientologist who decided to go "independent" .. Fascinating stuff, as usual with anything about this cult. Scientologists at War 8/10
We steal secrets, the story of wikileaks.. Well this was a true joy to watch, because it gives us a really balanced and honest look at wikileaks and especially Julian Assagne who has become a hero, and shows him in a honest light and shows us just how the charges in Sweden by the 2 women is actually quite legitimate. 9/10
How to make money selling drugs.. Our hero from HBO's Entourage Adrian Grenier helped produce this film. Takes a different angle at looking at the drug war, I have to say fun to watch while telling a very important message. 7/10
Has anyone watched the 'Born Schizophrenic' shows on Discovery Health, about Jani Schofield? Not quite sure what to think. I remember seeing this child on Oprah a number of years ago and the show I watched the other night was an update. Something really off there, with the parents, I think.
There are some videos on YouTube, but I'm not sure if those are the ones from Discovery Health, or TLC - they showed the update as well, recently.
50 CHILDREN: THE RESCUE MISSION OF MR. AND MRS. KRAUS tells the dramatic, previously untold story of Gilbert and Eleanor Kraus, a Jewish couple from Philadelphia who followed their conscience, traveling to Nazi-controlled Vienna in spring 1939 to save a group of children.
Amidst the impending horrors of the Holocaust, they put themselves in harm’s way to bring what would become the single largest-known group of children allowed into the U.S. during that time.
Jodorowsky's Dune is out on DVD now. This was the best doc I've seen in a long time. Jodorowsky is an excellent story teller, and it's very easy to see how he inspired people to join his project. For a movie about a movie that was never made, I found it absolutely fascinating. I'd say it's a must see if you're a fan of sci-fi or interested in the history of cinema; even if not, it's easy to get sucked into this one.

Watched this last night, its part of a series including UFOs, 7/7 London bombings and 9/11. Watched the UFO and Creationism ones, not a bad little series that shows just how hard it is for facts to change the minds of people convinced of what they believe.
I'v missed this thread in the past. Just watch the creationism episode. It might be my new favorite show. I can just imagine the pitch. "lets put a bunch of irrational people on a bus in American and tell them they're idiots for a week".

The first half hour was pretty solid, but then I feel like the show sort of loses it's direction. I thought that the documentary would actually describe (in decent detail) how people live/work within the drug trade.
I did like how they showed different 'levels' of success, but found that the further up the food chain they went, the more it was just about "Look at mah bling!!" than "Here's what my life looks like".
Watched Terror At The Mall last night, new doc that premiered on HBO about the terrorist attack at the Westgate Mall in Nairobi. Very well done, terrifying seeing what people went through on that day.
