Made in America is fantastic. I think what's makes it different than other documentaries is that it doesn't have a slant, but brings new information to light about OJ and what happened that night. At almost 8 hours it is an investment, but an investment well worth making.

Watched 2 great music docs this weekend: Jaco, amazing bass player Jaco Pastorius who unfortuantely lost his fight with his demons much too early. And Janis - very cool documentary on Miss Joplin, which I really enjoyed as I wasn't really familiar with her besides her music.
Watched some pretty good documentaries lately on Netflix: Josh Who Lived - about a journalist reliving his capture and torture by Al Qaeda Captive - 6 episodes of various people who were held captive in various situations Amanda Knox - her and the other players telling their side of what they were experiencing during the trial. Was alright - clearly skewed with Amanda, though I'm not sure it was this cut and dry at the time. But still interesting. The Confessions of Thomas Quick - won't ruin it but a Scandinavian guy who "admits" to countless killing.

This is such a great documentary, utterly captivating and the type of doc that you are never quite sure what to make of the people, the lines between good and bad are so blurred.
One of the best of 2018, be hard to top this one.

I'm two episodes in myself. Pretty riveting so far. Another documentary about fairly recent history I knew absolutely nothing about. I'm trying to stay away from spoilers but it's been very hard to not google the personalities or events that are the subject of this documentary.

I used to watch Osho's videos back in the day. Some of them were kinda funny. He owned 99 Rolls Royces, supposedly to prove a point about materialism. I think he just liked Rolls Royces.
Spoiler for cussing:
NSFW!

This really was interesting. I was pretty young when it was going on so, like others, I didn't know this happened. As with most documentaries, I'm sure the truth lands somewhere in the middle of both sides of the story but they definitely put together a compelling story.
"Sundance award—winning Editor James Scott’s documentary directorial debut Love Bite chronicles Laurie Lipton’s life and prolific body of black & white work spanning over fifty years. Largely ignored by the mainstream art world, her creations are perhaps too real, too raw and show us a portrait of ourselves we’re not willing to see."
