Hopefully Andresscu can find her game again and avoid the fate that Bouchard had.

I think the depth on the WTA tour is even better than it was back in 2019 when Bianca went on her magical run. Even if we look at her last 10 matches, she's lost mainly to top 10 players who have been in the best form of their respective careers:
As mentioned earlier, she's with a new coach to start 2023 and that's going to be an adjustment. I still see the same fighting spirit that is a hallmark of her game, so I think it's best to remain patient and see how things unfold.

Upset brewing in the United Cup as Pegula takes the opening set 6-2 over Iga
Edit: Complete domination by Jessica Pegula winning 6-2 6-2 over Iga.

It was crazy good tennis from Pegula, she was hitting hard from both wings and took time away from Iga the entire match.

Andresscu at least has a slam to her name - that will never be taken away.
Bouchard seems happy to pose for magazine covers and make money that way... hard to blame her, I guess.

Well, Shapo is now 0-8 versus Djokovic as Novak advanced to the semi-finals in Adelaide 6-3 6-4. Denis was playing pretty well and had chances to break Djokovic early in the opening set, but as often happens, Djokovic saves break points and then starts playing better and eventually his opponent cracks.

The semi-finals in Adelaide look a little unbalanced to me:
Korda vs. Nishioka
Djokovic vs. Medvedev

Yeah, he's a fine player, only thing holding him back in my opinion is that he needs to get a little stronger and avoid getting injured. Getting a little more pop on his serve wouldn't hurt either.

USA is through to the finals of the United Cup as Taylor Fritz got by Hubert Hurkacz in straight sets. Hurkacz was serving up 5-4 in the second set tie-break and played three terrible points to give Fritz the win.
