They are so hurting for money it's crazy. I doubt it will be back next season.
Or if it is they will probably replace Montgomery with Roger Millions.
Worst amazing race season ever, Canadian or US.

Canada for some reason loves Amazing Race. The US version, when it was being broadcast on Sunday would be the most watched reality show, and even today TAR Canada is by far the most watched summer show on TV:

Thinesh is officially the most calm and collected person ever. I'd be very "fustrated" if I had to deal with Aarthy on a regular basis.

It's probably 10 times harder dealing with the Russian bride.

Dave's an ahole, though, so he kind of deserves her. I do tip my cap to her for the math solve.

That challenge was easier than it looked. Why do the math? Just estimate how high the 3/4 floors are and then just go back every 10 seconds +1 or -1 feet until you get it right.

I agree for the most part but she did have a good reason to be annoyed with him when he wouldn't pull over to check if they were going the right way or not. Incredible they burned up that much time and still finish first. But ya, she's REALLY annoying. Was impressed with his performance in the speech challenge.

I've been away, so finally got caught up. Thankfully this week's show was a to be continued leg. I find that when James gets something wrong like the speech, he just gets himself more and more stressed out (like the diamond task earlier). That doesn't seem like the best trait for a doctor to have. Maybe he handles it better when it's related to medicine... Otherwise, I really love that team.
My other team, well, I guess they are slightly less annoying lately. My favourite part was watching Irina get stressed out and want to quit after trying the speech once.

Byrns should be happy that we got the return of the Clif bar sign-up board.
17 hour bus ride to Thunder Bay? Yuck.
If you're not a fan of the sponsored tasks, this was not the episode for you. It was a sponsor-fest this week with the ROM, Clif Bar, Shell, The Source, and the Dairy Farmers of Ontario all making an appearance along with the ever-present Chevrolet.
Aarthy & Thinesh had a bad taxi in Toronto and their leg never really got on track. Their last-minute collapse in air hockey also hurt them, as did their attempt to go to the drone challenge before the cheese.
- Dave & Irina (Win a trip to Venice, Italy)
- Sarah & Sam
- Anthony & James
- Lauren & Joanne
- Aarthy & Thinesh
- Trish & Amy
- Meaghan & Marie
- Gilles & Sean
- Nicki & Aisha
- Jet & Dave
- WhiteTiger: Lauren & Joanne / Trish & Amy
- EldrickOnIce: Jet & Dave / Nicki & Aisha
- Fuzz: Sarah & Sam / Meaghan & Marie
- Amethyst: Anthony & James / Dave & Irina
- getbak: Dave & Irina / Aarthy & Thinesh
- GoinAllTheWay: Aarthy & Thinesh / Gilles & Sean
- Weitz: Gilles & Sean / Lauren & Joanne
- surferguy: Meaghan & Marie / Anthony & James
- csnarpy: Trish & Amy / Sarah & Sam
- bigtmac19: Nicki & Aisha / Jet & Dave
I take my first hit and GoinAllTheWay will not be going all the way.
Next week, the final 4 will become the final 3 as the teams head to Nova Scotia.

That was quite the section. I was interested in how the teams claimed never to have any time to rest, but they had an 800km train ride, and a 17hour bus ride. Seems like plenty of resting time to me.
I honestly don't know how Thinesh puts up with Aarthy. Any little bit of adversity, and she crumbles and starts to cry. Frankly, that's what I'd been expecting of Irina, who's proving tougher than first expected.
Didn't expect to see Aarthy and Thinesh out tonight, but with only Thinesh trying and Aarthy crying, not too surprised it happened.

Yeah, I think those long train and bus sections were put in there to give them a bit of rest during the extended leg. However, many people can't sleep well in planes/trains/buses so it wouldn't be a great rest. You could definitely see a lot of teams feeling the fatigue.
I kind of get what Dave was doing this leg and if I didn't already hate him, I would admire it. The only good thing about them is that they are in my pool. I would love to see them make some big screw-up in the finale and lose it all to a sweet couple like James and Anthony.

Sad news yesterday as one of the members of "Team Give'r" from Season 5 of TAR:Canada was found dead from an apparent fall while hiking in BC: https://bc.ctvnews.ca/former-amazing...peak-1.4569556
Quote:
Friends and family are mourning former Amazing Race Canada contestant Kenneth McAlpine, who died in what appears to have been a tragic fall from a B.C. mountain peak.
The 28-year-old was reported missing Monday evening after he failed to return from a hike on Mount Gimli, a popular destination in the province's Southern Interior.
Several rescue teams from the area were dispatched to find him, but the search ended in tragedy the next day. McAlpine was found about 260 metres below the path where authorities believe he'd been hiking near Gimli's upper peak.
