We gave up a defenseman and a forward to add another defenseman and a forward...so really, we’re not that much further ahead than where we were. We still need a quality top 6 RW and preferably in the UFA market since we don’t have many assets/chips left to give up

Should probably look at getting some kind of pick for Frolik. He's not a top six guy, and doesn't play with the grit or speed for third line duty. Last year the Flames run came with him on the shelf, and as soon as he returned he harpooned a great effort against Vegas, and foiled an important open net opportunity.
Not a major deal, but the decks need to be cleared for guys like Foo, Mangiapone, Dube, etc.. to get a chance.

i don't think he would make this trade - he may throw in a draft pick or three to also make this happen.
no sense drafting early when you can sleep in on saturday (or squeeze in an early round or perhaps a massage) and show up for round 4 st noon

I know Wild want Ennis as part of the package, but go work some cap magic.

Coyle would be solid because he's another right shot who can play wing or C giving the Flames lots of versatility, depth and different options.
Plus he's got size and can skate.
