We have to one-up Forge. Can we acquire Messi?

Mississauga would be a great add for the league, imo.

Impact just got pumped by one of the worst teams in MLS, 6-3. Bring on Wednesday...

Yeah, it worked for Vancouver because they actually are horrible. With a legit MLS team it may lead to more players left on the roster and more effort leading to a thumping.
Either way, I'm so pumped for the game.

Probably the best result Cavalry could hope for. Montreal have a game on next Saturday as well, and are hanging onto a playoff spot by a single point with a game to give. Getting the doors blown off tonight means they may worry more about next week and the MLS than the CC and sit some guys. Add in a very reactionary owner, and who knows.
Like the Whitecaps before Cavalry, they are also 1-5 in last 6 MLS games.

Jordan Murrell is going to be in some trouble. Received a red for pushing the ref (albeit very gently) and then went full heel on the admin table.

Apparently the guy at the table he kicked is the chair of Soccer Canada's referee's committee too. Dude's in for a bad time. Gotta wonder if he ever plays another CPL match.
Also, "the proud name of Valour"?

Yeah that idiot should never see a CPL pitch again. The ref push is one thing, kicking the table with people sitting at it... idiot.

Prediction: the punishment will be swift and substantial.
Totally unrelated observation: The Forge racial abuse investigation is now into its THIRD month.

Sure hope there's a plan for a new wingback signing for the Cavs...

2019 Cavalry FC season / ticket price venting thread
What time would you guys recommend heading down to the Rose and crown? We got there about 15min before the game started and had a spot in the back corner/room area.

Starts at 5:30, so anytime before 5:00 would work. I anticipate it's going to be packed there, so as long as you have a beer / good view of a TV, you're pretty much golden wherever in there.

I am going to take a wild guess at Tony Tchani to Edmonton. Which would be a huge signing. I personally would love to have a Al Classico for the title. That way we would also get to attend the championship game.

I would second Muta in that 5 is probably a good bet. That's when I'm aiming to be there myself. With the early start time I imagine it won't be as busy as the Whitecaps game, but it is wing night as well, so who knows.

So it turns out the best player FC Edmonton's academy has ever produced...was discovered by Tommy Wheeldon...
Quote:
At 16, Shome got a call from Wheeldon to join Alberta's provincial youth program — the call that put him on the map. He joined FC Edmonton's academy shortly afterward, where he quickly began playing for the first team. He signed with the Impact the following season.
"I don't think I would have ever gotten noticed by FC Edmonton if I didn't make the provincial team," said Shome, 21. "And the reason I made the provincial team is because of Tommy."
