Too bad I'm not likely to own anything other than a smartphone from RIM or Apple. Not sure why RIM can't be on board if they've chosen the micro USB route, it's pretty damn close to what they're using now.

the thing i hate most about my ipod is that it can't simply use the standard mini-USB jack like most every other portable audio device, apple had to make their own stupid jack just to be different. thank god Monoprice sells cheap versions of those cables, so i didn't have to be ripped off by Apple for $20 when i wanted a second one

I'm confused why they decided on micro-usb, when many phones already use mini-usb.

Looking to the future probably.. as devices become smaller and thinner, and microusb is thinner.
