Had no idea Quine was still with the team.
I'd really like to see Stone draw in again soon.
As for goalie starts in the last four:
SJ - Rittich
LAK - Smith
ANA - Smith
EDM - Rittich

I suspect that after the Flames clinch the division/conference they will use their remaining callups (2 more regular callups IIRC) and start rotating the extra players in over the last games and anyone nursing injuries are in need of a rest out.

In 2015 they claimed injury to all their top players and emergency recalled 6-7 guys IIRC. The 2 call ups won’t restrict how many guys they call up.
And if it’s me I sit all top 4 D and give playing time to the other 5 and Valimaki.

Not that this is the time to fundamentally change a player’s role, but perhaps Kylington could actually make it as a winger. His assets would fit quite nicely into a winger’s role.
I am personally biased because I see Valimaki as being ahead of Kylington, and don’t see a realistic place for Kylington in our lineup next year barring a significant injury. Guys like Stone, and Prout/Fantenberg if they stick around, are better as extras. If Fantenberg re-signs, that’s more than just basic depth at D.
One way or another, I expect Treliving to trade yet another defencemen out this summer. If I could guess, a goalie will be headed back our way.

I assume Flames have cap space to do that?
This is what they should do 100%. No teams they are playing have any shot at the playoffs after tomorrow, which is usually a reason why teams don't gut their lineups after clinching.
A week and half off between games may be a bit much rest for some guys but better safe than sorry. Don't need some King, Duck or Oiler plug taking some liberties.
Also though, in this era of keeping players happy, if there are statistical goals that some players are close to achieving to activate a bonus, they may be more likely to play as well.

We have 3 extras on the roster. Everyone and their dog believes Vali is getting a Gallup imminently, and there is enough cap space to emergency recall a few guys. There was enough cap space for a 4M player at the deadline, and the Flames only acquired Fantenberg.

Only 4 games left so at most 3 games to rotate players. Color me surprised there has been no attempt to rotate Valimaki in for the playoffs.
OK maybe orangeburger passed him in depth chart (from my eye he hasn't necessarily been better) but it seems they prefer switching Brodie over and playing Prout/Stone as the next option.

I think there is almost zero chance that the Flames ice anything close to a playoff lineup in what looks to be a completely irrelevant game, against your biggest rival who has nothing to lose, where there is already plenty of bad blood. It would be a dumbfounding move for them to do so.

Yes, I agree. The Flames will most likely have the Pacific Division locked up by that game so there's no reason to dress certain players in that game. EDM won't be making playoffs and will be taking that game much more serious than the Flames. Don't risk anyone getting hurt in that meaningless game

Nah, once they clinch the division, I think some of our top guys will likely be rested until the playoffs start. You'll see more of an AHL Flames lineup vs. the Oil.

I'd like to see this against Edmonton if possible
Bennett - Jankowski - Neal
Czarnik - Dube - Frolik
Mangiapane - Ryan - Hathaway
Graovac - Quine - Foo/Robinson
Valimaki - Andersson
Kylington - Stone
Fantenberg - Prout
Rittich
Monahan, Gaudreau, Lindholm, Giordano, Brodie, Hanifin, Hamonic all sit. Recall Valimaki and Dube the usual way, emergency recall Graovac and Foo/Robinson.

That's my hope. No reason to go all out after clinching the division. Hell I wouldn't even hate calling up Gillies or Parsons
