Thanks, that looks interesting. Do you subscribe to it - if so, do you think it is worth it?

I’m in Greece right now, but I haven’t seen any dead birds.

Maybe Kefalonia is the wrong part.

He snuck into the Bohemian Grove. It's a super weird annual retreat in California. But Jones claimed he was witnessing Satanic rituals, when it was more akin to a bunch of drunk Republicans acting like frat boys.

Its like wearing your political, religious and social beliefs on your sleeve is becoming a normalized aspect of society.

Its very strange that we have to know everything about everyone all the time and people seem more than willing to broadcast this information to the world.

Its very unusual. I'm all for weird, but this is getting out of hand.

To circle this back to Jones, denying that Sandy Hook happened or was staged or whatever is essentially akin to Holocaust denialism.

All the proof anyone could ever want to confirm that an event occurred is there for all to see, but some overpowering need to somehow convince themselves that they are the smartest people in the room is overriding common sense.

Its quite baffling.

Do we honestly believe that he believes all of the conspiracy theories that he backs up.

Or is it as PT Barnum stated, there's a sucker born every minute, and Jones knows the market?

He's a con, and a flimflam man, and what he didn't understand was that his customers are start raving lunatics. And he kept pushing and pushing and pushing.

More video and book and pamphlet sales, more hits on whatever social media platforms he uses now.

He appeals to the paranoid, angry, frightened conspiracy mob out there and based on his revenue numbers, its a large group of paying customers.

Them: Adventures with Extremists , by Jon Ronson.

From what I recall it's only 1 chapter in this book...the Bohemian Grove thing turned out to be kinda like half Burning Man / half summer camp / half networking event for rich people. Ronson and Jones snuck in together and observed the same stuff. Ronson described stodgy rich people letting their hair down a bit. Jones twisted inconsequential events like men urinating in the woods into satanic rituals. (again, IIRC from several years ago)

Bohemian Grove

The memories of some people amaze me. I remember it now, but it would have been long gone from my memories without the refresher. Even with something as funny as that one, remembering forum posts from 8 years ago is inconceivable to me.
