I must say....considering my comments on the last page about Amazon basically having more money than God...
Are you seeing what they've done to these shockingly expensive cars?
Amazon Secretary: "Yes Mr. Clarkson....here is your astonishingly enormous cheque to do incredibly insane things to astoundingly expensive vehicles...."
It says that right in the Memo part of the cheque.

Really interesting premise (Germany won WWII and the US is split into the Japanese Pacific States [US west if the Rockies], the Greater Nazi Reich [US east of the Rockies] with a neutral zone in between [the Rockies]).
So far I'm more hooked on the world itself than the actual plot but thats not to say its bad, just that I'm really interested in how alternate Earth societies are structured and run (same as Hunger Games... I'm a nerd I know).

It gets really really slow. IMO the last two episode tie the series up in a bow with some nice commentary on the human condition. But I can respect people who were unable to sit all the way to the end as it gets bogged down in it's own story.

It lost me about a third of the way through Season 2.

I'm halfway through season 1 now, and am enjoying it.
Do you think the binge factor will help? Binging often covers flaws in shows that normally would annoy you.
I think binging may help. I watched it a few months ago and was doing about 2 episodes a night. I too noticed the stall in the one season but was able to power through to finish it up.

Binge will definitely help. I had to wait for the final two seasons, so I didn't revisit the show until those two seasons dropped. I started all over, and while it hits the slow spots mentioned it's better because you can just keep moving instead of waiting.
If you're interested in the world, as I was, I will say you'll be disappointed between about halfway of season 2 until the last half of season 4. They abandon the world building in favor of the core narratives, so this grand peek into alternative history just kinda fades away until it becomes important again at the end.
I'm glad I finished it, even though I was only partly sold on the ending. John Smith is one of the greatest television characters I've ever seen. In a bit of a Walter White way you keep hanging on hoping for his redemption. Still, I would have preferred spending more time in the history and context of the world.
If you're looking for something similar like that I would recommend The Plot Against America on HBO. It's a miniseries set pre-WWII where Charles Lindbergh wins the Presidency and brings his Nazi sympathies and anti-semitism with him. Powerful show.

Binging didnt help us the show eventually just became a show that we put on during sexy time so afterwards you didnt have to rewind it to see if you missed anything lol
I read the original story of Man in the High Castle, and yes, it was short so they took a lot of liberties with it, which is fine. Its not even remotely the first time this has happened with Phillip K. Dick's works.
I just dont think they did a good job of it.
Before this show came out if you had told me that I could be bored to death by one of Phillip K Dick's stories and it was 'The Man in the High Castle' I wouldnt have believed you.
I was so stoked for this show....it was just...boring.
