I actually really like that idea. Nobody is going to be claiming Lazar at this point I don't think.

I would say it's almost a guarantee someone would considering his age. Either way, there is no way Tre risks it after spending a 2nd to acquire him

Ya definitely. A bottom feeder like the Yotes does not pass this up.

Then let them have him. He's Curtis Lazar. He's not very good - they swung and missed on him. It's okay. Mangiapane looks good at things Lazar will never be good at in the NHL. Things like scoring.

The more I think about it the more I think this guy is more a sure thing than most other Flames prospects. Unheralded in the CHL yet all he did was put up points. Largely ignored by most NHL organizations getting picked in the 6th round yet puts up 41 points in his first AHL season which is quite impressive yet not ranked highly on most Flames prospect lists. Now in his 2nd season he's lighting up the AHL. All this kid does is prove the doubters wrong and he's only got one more league to go and at this point who's going to doubt he can make the NHL?

Different path but similar doubts as Gaudreau. AHL is not an easy league so definitely good to see him continue to produce without Jankowski centering him.

Thankfully I wasn't the one to break the pun train.
He's putting up points even away from Janko now that Janko is in the NHL. That's very good to see.
Also, Hathaway is playing really well and putting up points. I think these two are ready for immediate callup should an injury/trade happen.
Andersson did not look out of place either. I love this depth.

Great to see Mangi consistently getting better like he did in juniors. Also to mention, it seems Poirier is heating up. 5 points in the last 2.
Would be great if Mangi, Klimchuk, and Poirier all pulling for jobs in the future.
Johnny - Mony - Ferly
Chucky - Backs - Frols
Benny - Janko - Mangi
Klimchuk - Lazar - Poirier
Gone from the current line would be Yags, Steeger, and Brow.

I want to disagree with you, but you've presented such a convincing argument.

What, is the fourth line the "no nickname" line? Or do they object to "Klimmy", "Lazy" and "Poi"?

he has the same amount of points as Jack Roslovic, in 3 less games.. their tied for 2nd in ahl scoring.. both in their 2nd seasons...
he's obviously going to get a sniff.. and for a 6th round pick.. hes probably equalling the progression.. of a late 1st rounder..

Meh, if he'd already be in the show if he was good.
