Saw this article, and there's a lot to have a look at here. The basic gist:

The City of Brossard on Montreal's South Shore is defending its decision to ban nudity in municipal sports facilities, saying that the move is in response to citizen complaints.
"When you're in a public space, we ask people to stay in a respectable state," Eric Leuenberger, the city's aquatic activities director said Tuesday on Radio-Canada's Gravel le matin.
Apparently it's not a law or bylaw, so you just get 'a warning' if you don't comply. Makes me wonder if there'll be a monitor in the room, who's job it is to tell folks to cover up while in the change room.
But there's an interesting wrinkle, too:

The changes come as Brossard breaks ground on a new aquatic complex, one that will do away with gender-specific change areas in favour of a universal locker room.
That gender-inclusive shared space that will cater to individuals, families and people with disabilities, including a common area and private showers and change stalls.
I guess I can understand no-nudity in what seems to be a 'free-for-all style' change room like that. Still kinda seems like it's defeating the point of a change room in the first place, though.
They have this system at the Quarry Park YMCA already and although I’m sure it’s a hassle to have to go in and out of the actual little rooms you can go change completely in, this is where the future is headed. I don’t have a problem with it. It’s the happy medium for people who support transgender rights and the people who are worried about ladies with man bits in the women’s change rooms. It completely removes gender and public nudity from the situation which I fail to see how anyone couldn’t get behind as I won’t be saddened to not see saggy man balls sauntering around anymore.

I had someone complain a couple of weeks ago about there being someone naked in the change room ( a naked man in the men's change room). I stood there speechless. "Uh... it's a change room... people change in there. Don't like it? Change at home."
I have been to the Y in Riverbend. It is a nice setup.

An environment in which a person encounters only beliefs or opinions that coincide with their own, so that their existing views are reinforced and alternative ideas are not considered.
It may not be nudity but I imagine many women will be offended by the men in there for other reasons (or vice versa?).
I have Plus so for that it’s still the standard Men and Women’s. But too my knowledge there’s a large locker area where you go put your stuff and lock it, then go into a changing stall to do your stuff and then go back and open up your locker to put your street clothes in and vice versa on the way out. Washrooms I would imagine are just stalls. Not too sure on how showers work. Likely all stalls as well.
So for like 1-2% of the population we have to inconvenience 98% of the population? Why can't there just be three change rooms? Male / Female and other
Would you like your tax dollars to go into retro fitting every public building into this system? Because going forward I could also see that being the way building are built if these family change rooms don’t pan out. But who’s going to pay for all the old places being changed? Throwing in a new set of toilets and showers isn’t going to be cheap. What’s wrong with just stalling everything up and making it open to everyone?
Honest to goodness people... I'm naked underneath these clothes.
I'm not kidding!
Advertising for a four hour erection... Absolutely!
Three hours of men beating each other to a bloody pulp over a ball... You Betcha!
Flash a little boobie or tail... WON'T SOMEONE THINK OF THE CHILDREN!!!11!!oneone!!OMGWTFBBQ!!!!!

As a young single dad with 2 little ones, having a big family change room is awesome. I was at one of the new recreation centres in e-town and there was a HUGE family change room with plenty of huge changing stalls. It was really awesome if you have young kids so you could change in private. I checked out the men’s area after and it was tiny by comparison, maybe this is happening everywhere???
Back on topic.....banning nudity in a change room????
The way ours is setup (fairly new facility) is with 3 change rooms. Men, women, and family.
I've never actually been in the mens change room as I always have my kids with me and anyone under the age of I think 16 has to use the family change room. I find it quite nice actually, big locker bank in the middle, and private large stalls to go into to get yourself and kids changed.
I don't get offended or anything by public nudity, but given the choice it's nice for everyone to have some privacy.
This is taking things in the wrong direction. I dont know why so many North Americans are offended or upset or against by nudity.
The offended people posting in the mod thread on FOI should be happy with this change room move.
So for like 1-2% of the population we have to inconvenience 98% of the population? Why can't there just be three change rooms? Male / Female and other
Not really sure what this has to do with the change room issue.
Trust me, more than 1-2% of the population is tired of going into a change room only to witness old man flapping their balls everywhere as they walk around nude for 20 minutes.
Also, I'm not sure if dividing washrooms by gender is such a big deal with the French. I recall seeing unisex public washrooms in Quebec City, although none in Montreal when I visited.

There is never near enough of the private change areas, get ready to stand awkwardly in a change room for 10 minutes because a class just ended and everyone is trying to use a private stall.
