Been holding AMC for awhile now bought more at the dip. Good move, offsets some of the general blood bath. Even though I play long on most stocks still a psychological hit to see that open profit number dive.

Could the rotation into commodities have exposed how inflated the market is?

https://twitter.com/LizAnnSonders/st...744468993?s=20

Is anyone else pulling out in anticipation of a crash? Or moving to somewhere else in anticipation of hyperinflation?

This game is stressing me out

I'm too heavy in tech right now for a pull out. Got away from fundamentals, especially balancing. I'll just hold and hope for the best and if a crash comes, ride it out with what's there and buy a bunch more.

Anyone here active on the Canadian Investor sub?

If you filter out the crypto fanboys, I'm finding some of the discussions pretty useful.

I have started reading that sub, I find it pretty good.

I am selling some of my equities to free up cash in case of a market correction. Something like 5-10% so nothing crazy.

I've watched it for a while, I find it has really good information. Some of the posters do really good DD reports.

This game is stressing me out
Raw materials suppliers in most industries are overbooked for ~ 6 months now, personally I wouldn't be too worried about a crash through at least the summer.

I'm just worried that the picture of consumer demand and supply is too muddy. The auto assembly plants out here are packed full of vehicles that are assembled, but waiting for chips to come in. We still haven't seen the full brunt of mortgage/credit defaults, cerb tax clawbacks, etc. What kind of effect will the US overreliance on QE be?

The ground is very shaky right now. Maybe I'll just go all in with gold stocks.

100% agree, I'm just saying companies already have order books over full for the next 6 months, there isn't a big crash coming until they get back down to normal lead times. We are minimum 4 months away from that. Relax for the summer, be very worried in the fall.

You honestly think it's only going to be 4 months? In N/A maybe but I still find that optimistic.

Most places that actually manufacturer most things are way behind our timeline. Bike parts are still ~400 days behind. The whole microchip issue is pushing some products back 1-2 years.

I don't see that demand crashing until early next year at the absolute earliest.

I also don't think the CERB/mortgage defaults will be anywhere close to what people expected. We're already long past banks holding mortgage payments and seeing very little fallout. I think the people that worked 3x more hours in the last year, transfers from parents, inheritance, pandemic wage increases, etc are going to far outweigh the opposite.

I finally relented and put some money in the meme stocks.

it's crazy looking at it though, the trading day isn't 3 hours old and nearly 20% of NAKD has been traded.

I had picked up a couple of long term calls for AMC back in January, when I cleared the rest of my stock. Definitely happy. But wish I hadn’t cleared all my stock either.

Anyone know why Cenovus has jumped 20% in the last week? I’ve been holding onto it for a while now stuck in the red and finally can sell it for a small profit, am I missing something and is the target price suddenly much higher?
