It's amazing to think that Roger Craig set the single day win total in 2010, and in less than two weeks Holzhauer eclipsed it three times (may have been more, I haven't double checked).
He's making a play for Brad Rutter's winnings record, and he's doing it in regular non-tournament Jeopardy!
For the record Rutter has won either $4,255,102 or $4,270,102 (I believe it depends on the team Tournament of Champions split).

One thing in Jeopardy that really favors the champion, is that the timing of the buzzer is really specific, and you take a short lock out penaltyfor hitting it too early. So you can end up with situations where The champ is really locked into the Rhythm and the other players can't squeeze in and get really frustrated
I don’t know if anyone else is interested, but that guy just ran roughshod over the other two tonight. He heads into Final Jeopardy with a lead of over $50k. Just unreal.
Wins over $100k today and is at $566k now.
I think eventually he’ll get a question where he bets it all wrong and won’t be able to recover, but it’s really compelling!

Back in 2004, I tracked Ken Jennings’ statistics daily and updated a toteboard. With James Holzhauer dominating his Jeopardy! games in ways unseen in years, I’ve decided to track James’ daily statistics in many of the same categories, alongside Ken’s statistics at the same point in his streak from 2004. Links are also provided to help define any statistics that may not be readily familiar or intuitive to the casual viewer.
