Deceptive amount of content in Odyssey, thought I had one last moon in a level, only to get 15 more, then checked the list to find out I still needed 40 more
Nintendo is getting some interesting 3rd party support for the first time in a while, and not from the usual sources. I think Bethesda is going to be rewarded with some pretty good sales numbers for this (and Skyrim) and you can bet other third parties are watching.

I don't really see too much AAA 3rd party success in the future. The down-graded Doom looks fine, but not sure why you would play the Switch version over PC, PS4 or Xbox. Even an old game like L.A Noire you need to buy a SD card because the Switch doesn't have enough internal memory to hold it.
It just going to get more difficult in the future to get AAA games to work on the Switch, but if Nintendo can keep pumping out high quality 1st party games I don't think it will matter.
Sonic forces got the same review, Nintendo really needed to step up the dock so reviews could say
"Worst version when in handheld mode but its expected since its portable but when on the dock stands up to the competition"
Of course the cost would have went way up but Nintendo is going to find them self releasing the "Switch DX" or some more powerful variant and piss people off.

I can't play the PS4 or Xbox version on an airplane, or while I wait for my wife after work since we car pool, or when I'm travelling for work and trying to relax at the hotel.
Personally I've realized the visual downgrades don't matter as much to me anymore - I've become a more casual gamer and the portability provides so much more flexibility and playing options that I will take the visual downgrades.
Part of me feels like that is what Nintendo is banking on & if the install base is there, and sales are good enough, then the 3rd parties will come. Take Two already released how impressed they were with NBA 2K18 sales on the system, Mario+Rabbids made up 19% of Ubisoft's Q3 sales, stuff like that continues and 3rd party support won't be a concern.
