If only Feaster's quietly brilliant offer sheet deal went through

we'd have Ryan O'Reilly here instead of Sean 3C Monahan!

Actually confused now whether or not that text warrants the poop green?

That’s at worst. He’s one of the most decorated professional hockey players, period, because he’s part of the triple gold club, and he’s won all three trophies that actually mean anything.
Personally I think you throw World Champions out the window as well, this whole triple gold thing is nothing but a fan and media creation. The whole premise started off poorly. And if you're going to include "In hockey history" then you include it all, juniors, etc etc. Happy for JayBou though! But that was one cringe worthy hyperbolic statement!

But damn this is one boring and pedantic debate! Truly out this time lol

It’s the perfect example of not judging team performance on an individual player.

I’ll be honest and when the Blues were last place in December/January I really questioned O’Reilly as a player.

Seemed like he was poison. He was on his third team, and with him on the roster all the teams were just horrible, and he didn't seem to actively improve his teams at all. At the time the Sabres has just ended their long winning streak too and it looked like they didn’t miss O’Reilly at all.

Now just 6 months later he’s the Conn Smythe winner on a cup winning team.

Good reminder that good players are good players - and don’t let teams performance cloud the judgement.

Except that it's an IIHF creation, the 110-year-old governing body of international hockey, which predates even the NHL.

What do they know, I guess.

Chalk it up to the fact that I don’t have the intelligence to give the IIHF respect that it deserves.

Troy should have rephrased it to "teams become instantly better once I leave - so much better that they win cups!"

Jay Bo led all players (both teams) in ice time for game 7. Most hits by a Blues defenseman and a +2 game 7.

You may want to delete that as when it comes to Bouwmeester, objectivity and facts runs a distant second.

I get really pissed off when I see those clips of Marchand crying. It makes me so mad...

...because I feel a small part of me respect him a little. The guy has won it before and he still wants it so bad.

I need to wash this bad taste out of my mouth.

That's better. Marchand and the Bruins are dog####.

When this decade began, the longest Stanley Cup drought was Chicago's, who hadn't won the Cup since 1961.

The next longest was a three-way share between Toronto, Los Angeles, and St Louis, who had been playing since 1967-68 without a championship.

Now, as the 20-teens come to an end, The Leafs stand alone at the top (or is it the bottom?) of the list of teams who have played the most seasons without lifting the Cup. 52 years and counting.

The Canucks and Sabres are tied for second, having both joined the League in 1970-71.

Another fun fact, if the Raptors win the NBA Championship this week, the Leafs will be the only Toronto-base sports team to have not won their league's championship in the last quarter century or so.

I am ok with the Blues winning. Fairly neutral about boston, ok I hate Marchand, and STL has O'Reilly and Berube (despite them having Ott and Perron) so good for them. And the first cup for them. Must be great for the fans.

Overall the least interested in a final I've been in awhile, mostly due to the teams involved.

Glad the season is over. This just makes me realize how much I dislike any team that is not the Flames. Let's make sure this is us next year. Don't need to be first in the west.... look at the Blues.... GFG.

30 years this year. His first assignment with the Cup was bringing it to Colin Patterson during the summer of 89.
