Whatever they feel like doing with it since it's, you know, theirs?
Odd you'd be so defensive about a pretty fair question.
The Flames just got a pretty sweet bankroll that I find hard to ignore given the current arena stalemate and apparent struggling to stay competitive comments.

Not defensive at all, i'm just curious why anyone would wonder what someone else would do with their own money. This isn't hockey related revenue.
It would be no different than wondering what Murray Edwards would do with his money if he divested 1,000,000 shares of CNRL tomorrow.
I don't think you necessarily need to be in the same division to be rivals.. See: Colorado and Detroit
That rivalry will be dead in 20 years if it's not already.
And I would argue that in order to form a rivalry, teams have to either:
1) Be in the same division and play each other regularly
2) Constantly meet in the playoffs, or
3) Be in the same province or state.
I live exactly between Nashville and Columbus. People in these fan bases hardly enough know that the other team exists, despite the physical proximity. And these teams were in the same division for most of their history.
With the new alignment, only Calgary and Edmonton are in the Mountain time zone within the Pacific division. More late games coming our way.
Also, Arizona kinda gets screwed by moving to the Central. They were super close to Vegas, as well as SoCal. Now they are close to pretty much no one - Dallas and Colorado are closest and the rest of those in the Central are pretty far away.

This is still my favourite, just for the cool logo that's all but guaranteed.
I'm still disappointed that since Vegas was going to go with _____ Knights, they didn't use Neon Knights. Awesome colour possibilities, alliteration with the "nights" entendre, and less clunky sounding than "Golden Knights".
I find that odd since there are some cities that just seem synonymous with particular colours, like Calgary with red.
When I think of Seattle, green and blue are the colours I think of. They probably want to avoid that because of the Canucks, but they could vary it enough to be unique from the Nucks.
The Sounders use blue and green but no one would confuse their colours with the Canucks...
Spoiler!
