No Bell for Tri-City.

Morin gets 1a,-1 in a 2-1 loss to Shawinigan. 14gp/5g/8a/13pts,-1, 6 PIM. Morin is 11th in D scoring.

Nov.15th:

Giants get blanked by Prince George, so zeros for Lipinski- except 2 shots, and 13/23 in the faceoff circle. 18gp/4g/8a/12pts,-6, 20 PIM. Two of my favorites, Koehn Ziemmer and Riley Heidt, were 1st and 2nd star respectively, with 4 points apiece, and each +3.

After 6 games with no points, Baby Iginla has a goal in each of the last 2 games.

That Luca Cagnoni, defense, 4th round pick by San Jose this past draft, is kind of having a monster season. Nearly doubling Morin’s production and he’s no slouch either.

No Bell for Tri-City. Connor Geekie gets 4 points, as Wenatchee dumps Tri-City, 5-2.

Lipinski is first star in a 6-1 win over the Cougs, with a hat-trick, +2. 19gp/7g/8a/15pts,-4, 20 PIM.

Morin gets 2a,+3 in a 7-4 win over the Titan. 15gp/5g/10a/15pts,+2, 6 PIM.

Nov.17th:

Prince George blanks Vancouver, 5-0, so no points for Lipinski. 20gp/7g/8a/15pts,-4, 20 PIM. My boys Ziemmer and Heidt got another 2a each.

Bell comes back from injury, earning 2nd star honors with 1g,1a,even. 12gp/6g/8a/14pts,-1, 4 PIM. Not that it matters too much, but he is now listed at 6'5",205lbs.

Lipinski gets 1a, and was even in a 4-3 OTL to Lethbridge. 21gp/7g/9a/16pts,-4, 22 PIM.

Morin gets a second assist on the game-winner, +1 in a 2-1 win over Cape Breton. 16gp/5g/11a/16pts,+3, 6 PIM. Morin is tied for 8th in D scoring.

Update on Honzek, he was practicing with the Giants this week and speculation he may even return this Saturday. Giants Next Game after that is Dec 1, so likely that game at the latest.

Wonder if they keep him out again today just to have that extra stretch of recovery until the 1st. He'll only have five games before he leaves to prepare and play in the World Juniors but hopefully not too rusty

Was bored so decided to dig a bit deeper on Parker Bell's start to the season.

On first look, Bell's output seems to have regressed which is a bit disappointing. However, it doesn't seem like the regression is specific to Bell and moreso Tri-city as a whole. So far this season, Tri-city is 22nd (of 26 teams) in the WHL at only 2.86 GF/game. Compare that to last year where they finished 6th in the WHL at 3.76 GF/game.

I was curious how that translates in terms of Bell's % overall involvement in Tri-city's offense while he's healthy.

This season - assuming GF of 2.86/game in the 14 games Bell has played, total GF for the team would be 40. With Bell's 15 points during those games, he's involved in 37.4% of the teams production.

Last season - Bell played 55 games. Again, assuming GF at 3.76/game, total GF for Tri-city is 207. Bell had 64 points last season, meaning he was involved in 30.9% of the teams production while he played.

This would suggest that despite a slight regression in points so far this season, Bell has actually taken a step in terms of overall offensive involvement for his team which is promising (37.4% involvement this season vs. 30.9% last season). Hopefully he continues to use this opportunity to develop as a winger that can drive play.
