They really loaded 'em up.

Most of those groups looks like cakewalks other than F, and that United could surprise a pretty pedestrian Bayern.

Couldnt happen to a nicer guy.

Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba tested positive for testosterone, Italy's anti-doping agency announced Monday.

Nado Italia, the anti-doping agency, said that Pogba was suspended provisionally with immediate effect. Pending a trial and testing of a backup B sample, he risks a suspension of up to four years.

"In acceptance of the instance proposed by the National Anti-doping Prosecutor, it has provided for the provisional suspension of the athlete Paul Labile Pogba," Nado Italia said in a statement.

More money troubles for Barca.

Quote:
Barcelona's financial woes continued on Thursday as LaLiga slashed their spending cap by almost €400 million ($429m) for the new season, from €649m to €270m.

The limit is roughly determined by the difference between a team's revenue minus non-sporting outgoings and debt repayments.

The final figure accounts for the maximum amount clubs should spend on wages, bonuses and amortisation payments on transfers across a season, not how much they are necessarily spending. Clubs that breach their limit are subject to spending restrictions.

Barca's drop, in part, is due to the decreasing affect of the "palancas" -- assets sold off by the club last summer to improve their short-term finances -- and was widely expected.

This is some elite movement in the box on the goalie goal, should start him at striker next match.

well, tonight's going to be ugly. United are without 12 first teamers, they are down to 5 defenders in the squad ... not ideal.

made sure there's enough beer in the fridge, so there's that.

Well it certainly appears as though Ramsdale is now #2 at Arsenal, Raya starts again tonight.

Arsenal have been fantastic in the first half - best performance of the season so far.

United actually played quite well, then Onana gifted Bayern a goal and that's that. Can never handle any adversity, so it'll be damage control from here on out.

Ramsdale will get Spurs on Sunday.
Raya getting group stage for Champions league makes sense and playing vs Everton to get warmed up for tonight also made sense.

Pretty crazy goal streak by Stuttgart striker Serhou Guirassy in the Bundesliga right now ... another goal and an assist in the first half against Darmstadt, so that's 9 goals in the first 5 games and counting.

Insane to think he had a €15m release clause that expired in July.

EDIT: make it 10 in 5 games. Ties Lewandowskis league record for the best start to the season.

He also had two assists. Good chance he's gonna get 30+ goals and 15+ assists if he stays healthy.

Ajax seem to be in complete freefall ... today's home game against Feyenoord had to be suspended after 55 minutes due to fan protests, it was 3-0 Feyenoord at this point. Including this game, they'll have one win and 5 points from the first 5 league games. Crazy to see them in shambles like this.

Well, you were right.
I really thought Ramsdale would play today. Clearly a decision has been made and there's a new #1.

He might come good in time, but Onana has been pretty bad for United so far.
