I never thought Sasha and Naomi was a work at all, mainly because Sasha has walked away before. I still think at this point Naomi is thinking this was a horrible mistake as neither of the girls is getting paid at all. Also when Bayley comes back and Charlotte comes back, people will forget about Sasha and Naomi pretty quickly, and Vince will be able to keep them on the sidelines unpaid for a long time because of how the WWE contracts work.

I guess with MJF taking about 400 powerbombs and being hauled off on a stretcher takes him off of TV for a while while they figure this stuff out. Though he did look like a dofus in that match.
Every report that I've read says this isn't a work. And watching what happened in the match, I don't see what a work would go in this direction. Plus pissing off fans that paid a bunch of money for the meet and great in the name of a work would be really stupid.

I was dissapointed with Cole going over Joe. Frankly Cole doesn't look like the same guy that he was in NXT, and I was a big fan of Cole.
I don't know who was the idiot that booked people coming off of ladders during the Owen Hart tournament and doing incredibly dangerous sky falls with Darby. That just seemed to be completely dumb.
Also the Hardy's need to just stop wrestling and go away, its time. And I think the fans need a break from the Young Bucks, who are starting to get the wrong type of heat (Go away heat)

So more reports about the MJF thing.
Its confirmed that he's been taken "off of the road" for at least the next few TV tapings and maybe longer.
He arrived right before his match with Wardlow and left right after.
Suppossedly MJF talked to Fightful and said he had a lot to think about.

I think the MJF think is a work.
It's approaching Pillman territory as it you can't really tell what's real and what's not.
He's always been a heel during fan interactions, what's the point of no showing fans who want to see him? To get them to hate him. He's a heel. The bad guy. Bad guys do bad things.
He's 100% committed to the character.
This gives him a well deserved break (not sure if he's taken one since the start of AEW).
The more the casual wrestling fan, or WWE fan hears about this the more they're gonna want to know about MFJ & AEW.
Maybe its legit? But to me, still feels like a work.

Here's why I don't think its a work, because it wouldn't make any sense.
MJF and Khan start leaking faux arguments about money. MJF is radically underpaid compared to the WWE superstars coming in. MJF takes a stand on it, no shows the fan meet and greet. Shows up late and goes out and gets destroyed my Wardlow, who is trying to basically become elite and thus impress Khan. MJF gets injured and stretchered out.
So this reads like not only a face turn at this point, but an ungrateful owner under paying a guy that's making him a ton, and not only that but stands by while his newest talent acquisition does an act of attempted murder. Not only that buy MJF looks like a smuck with very little offense, and does the Airplane thing in the ring.
If its a work, clearly they haven't thought it through because it makes zero sense, and Vince Russo had a hand in it, because it makes Kahn a heel and MFJ a face.

That's WWE canon/thinking though.
In AEW canon I think missing the fan event, and no showing a PPV (potentially) feeds into the cannon of MJF as a cowardly heel.
Kahn not giving in to MJF's antics keeps him a face in AEW. Their fan base love him and his "no F's" attitude.
The AEW loved to hate MJF before but deep down still kind of liked him. Him doing this could make him truly, truly hated by the AEW fanbase.
Plus him taking time off after losing to Wardlow always made sense. He shouldn't be on TV this week, and think it would make sense to have him comeback as part of a new heel faction with new muscle.

Jeff Hardy described as a mess backstage at double or nothing
https://wrestlingheadlines.com/jeff-...le-or-nothing/
Described as not his usual self.
I was really against AEW signing Jeff, the guy has had serious physical problems and also other problems and refuses to get any help for it. Continually putting him in the ring with his high risk work is doing him no favors, and he's likely to be the next great wrestling tragedy.
Its time for Jeff to stop and leave the business. And get help.

But didn’t you see the spot where he jumped off the arena a couple months ago!!!
Honestly Jeff destroying him self physically once he got to AEW was entirely predictable. Unfortunately AEW loves their big spots, and Jeff was always going to put himself in bad situations if the company let him.

Obviously another WWE lie to smear Jeff's name.

Its probably a combo. Everything about the back scene issues with MJF and Khan are coming across as a shoot, multiple reports on it from some pretty credible reporters are saying its likely a shoot.
At the same time, AEW and MJF might as well make money on it. I mean tonights whole thing felt like a replication of CM Punks infamous pipebomb/summer of punk.

It’s a work that has truth to it.
No way Tony is giving him a live mic if he’s not in on it.
Are there actually backstage issues in regards to MJFs contract? 100%
But what we are seeing is for sure an approved storyline

HAHAHAH
The fact that they got an 'Ass Boys' chant going was also hilarious, hope the Gunn Club likes that because that is something that could permanently stay, for better or worse
