West Ham's board is a gong show. Apparently, they were pushing for Slimani yesterday, but Leicester allegedly refused to do any business with West Ham because of this from last year:

Oh, and they're also alleging that they couldn't sign a midfielder from Belgium, Leander Dendoncker, that fans wanted because there was no time to complete a medical for him last night. Apparently, the guy flew to London to force a move, and medicals could be completed after the 11pm deadline if other paperwork was done.
Also, I think West Ham has maybe two healthy strikers now after Ayew left.
What a mess.

Well truthfully her and "the dildo brothers" are just horrific for the club. The stadium move has killed that club and basically the club itself owns nothing. Everything, included the constantly loaned players, is a rental. I do think that their constant chatter of "we're interested in (insert big name from big club here) and then having the deal fall through has to be tiresome.
I know I take shots at them fairly regularly so this might not come across as genuine, but I do feel for the supporters. Don't get me wrong, from a purely competitive sporting point of view, I would love to see them relegated, but what those three are doing to that club is the same if not more damaging.

The sad thing is I'm not even surprised at the Hammers problems, its always been one of the more parochial clubs, tending to favour local players, ex players in management etc, in some ways its one of the things I like about the club but it also means attitudes are still set sometime in the mid sixties.
I heard the story before they announced the club and you just knew it was going to be either the Hammers or Rangers and frankly Rangers have moved on from their bad old days.

Two goals and an assist for Batshuayi on his Dortmund debut. Yup...

Its interesting. I was thinking about this and thought:
"If I'm a PL manager, I want to be careful about signing African players because the ACN is right at Christmas, the most congested and arguably important segment of the season."
Which, in the context of transfer fees and wages in England seems reasonable. Especially prior to Africa changing the dates of the ACN. Now its not really a big deal anymore.
Just not wanting to buy African players is not reasonable. And he rightly should be fired.

Allegedly, there is some kind of conversation that this all stems from, and it could implicate Gold/Sullivan. I don't know how true that is, but for the sake of the game in general I would hope it's dealt with swiftly and just done.
I did see the text of the release and there was one hilarious part to me. It was about how everyone is welcome regardless of race, colour, creed or ability (paraphrasing). I mean yeah, of course the first few make sense, but we all knew that ability was no issue...that's why they have Mark Noble!

This has got to be pretty high up there on the list of worst misses ever. You'd almost have to be trying to miss it to not score.

^ Pretty funny. I hate saying that anyone could score that when you watch a professional, but I'm pretty sure I would have been able to.

Big Sam pre-match: "It's about being able to nullify the strengths of Arsenal and then, I've always felt, that defensively they are weak because of the amount of players they commit forward."

Well if celebrities have a propensity for dying after Ramsey goals, what happens after a Ramsey hat trick? Will an asteroid finally get us?

Not a great half from Spurs, but it’s just been sloppy all around. Unlucky play back by Dier and otherwise just a sloppy half from both sides.

Alli needs to be dropped a few games, hes back to his October level play before poch had a word with him and he finished 2017 in form
He's still so young, needs a reminder every once in awhile to focus
That dive wasn't just cheating it was dumb, passed up a great chance
