Your the sensitive one that pops a huge erection anytime I breathe a word in this thread. Go celebrate your single point today and treat yourself to a nice boxing day sale.

you might actually mistake me for another United fan, but no hard feelings (despite the huge erection!). Merry Christmas.

What a boring first half and then Firmino cracks it wide open.

Oh, did I interrupt two Manchester fans complaining about who can spend the most? Sorry about that guys, carry on...

I think United's biggest problem since Fergies retirement has IMO been the lack of a director of football, especially given the managers they've hired. Giving all the squad decisions into the hands of Moyes, van Gaal and Mourinho certainly wasn't the smartest of ideas ... I think someone in between Woodward and Mourinho who helps identifying targets and makes decisions regarding transfers wouldn't hurt at all.

Mourinho can have no complaints. He was allowed to spend a lot of money, both in terms of fees (Pogba, Lukaku etc.) and wages (Ibra). It's his job to make it all work and over the past weeks he hasn't done a very good job in that regard. He also can't complain about injuries and suspensions - he has the biggest PL squad at his disposal after all. And finally, City's spending power has nothing to do with United dropping points against the likes of Leicester and Burnley. Get your #### together or leave, Jose.

Mourinho is very much the "Whining One"

Coutinho been in insane form recently, it's really a shame Liverpool can't defend because going forward they are unreal. If they could get a defender in january and hold on to Coutinho I think they could be a dark horse for the champions league.

Mourinho knows exactly what he's doing since everyone is now talking about his whining and not the last week's worth of games that includes a humiliating loss, a late capitulation with the lead, and dropped points at home. He's the master of distraction so we focus on his personality flaws and not his team sliding into mediocrity.

Liverpool apparently get Van Dijk for £75 million. Southampton held out and they got an amazing deal. Obviously an overpay for Liverpool, but when you're desperate, you're desperate.

holy cow.

Liverpool have finally won the race to sign Southampton centre-back Virgil van Dijk after agreeing a world record £75 million fee for a defender.

The two clubs have again been in discreet negotiations in recent days following the acrimonious breakdown of a potential deal last summer and have today reached agreement on the transfer. Manchester City and Chelsea are both also interested and have made inquiries at different stages of the past six months but, barring any late super-bid from another club, Van Dijk will get his move to Liverpool.

Biggest question out of this is does this mean Coutinho goes in January? We know FSG are cheapskates so makes more sense to spend £75 million if you have £120 million coming in.

Why are FSG cheapskates? Because they don't spend like Man City?

I wouldnt call them cheapskates per se, but they dont have the same limitless funds as City, Chelsea or United, but I havent seen any indication that they're unwilling to spend money, they are appear to be unwilling to do so frivolously.

Now we have to swoop in for a Goalkeeper and we're a couple big steps up.

Although with every year there being a 'Club Record' transfer, thats getting annoying. Of course there is because English clubs pay massive premiums that go up constantly.

that should confirm that Coutinho is gone in the summer. Can't see them spend £135m on Keita and van Dijk without getting substantial money in.

Can't wait to see the stats showing how many passes Newcastle completed in the opponents half. I get being afraid of City but this is embarrassing.
