There is one more game in the NHL on this New Year's Day.
I think most viewers of this game will have worn off their hangover.

2000h

at on

and Centre Ice in the USA

It is a big game for both teams and four other teams in the western
conference because there are six teams (including the Flames)
seperated by just three points.

So who do we cheer for?

Vancouver will always make me sick, but they have 4 games in hand, so in reality they're likely at least 3-4 points ahead of us. Therefore Vancouver is likely the better team to win for us.

However, screw Vancouver and go LA

A two point game. The team that actually wins is irrelevant.

Those weren't frosted tips, they were darkened roots!

The Canucks announcers start crying about an "icing" call when it was in fact a legit offside.

I dig the new scorebug. The trend now from FOX, ESPN (for the Bowl games), and now NBC is going back to corner score bugs which take up less space which I'm in favour of.

No, there was no offside called on the play and the face off ended up being held at centre ice, in recognition of the blown icing call.

Either way he still looked offside to me.

Miller is the only reason the Canucks are winning as the Kings have a 3-1 margin in shots, 30-10 on the shot count.

Probably 70% of the entire game is the Kings cycling the puck in Vancouver's zone

Watching the kings vs Canucks... Both these teams look very slow. The whole game is slow because of it. If the flames make the playoffs I would love to see them face either of these teams and pull an upset with the speed that the flames have in spades.

The Canucks just cannot get control of the puck. 90% of their puck touches have been panic clears it seems like
