I think we all know the answer to this.

For Euro 2020 one team is gonna have to fly five hours from Amsterdam to Baku for the QFs, then five hours back to London for the SFs. Must be a hefty bribe payout from Azerbaijan to make it happen.

So no 48 team world cup for qatar
Still the plan for 2026, they have to come up with something better than the 16 groups of 3 that's been talked abouy

What a disgrace. UEFA should never have given that final to Baku and in all honesty they should be stripped off their Euro 2020 games.
|
No country where they need to worry about safety of any possible nationality should even be in contention
On top of that, the travel issues alone there are insane, they likely wont be able to handle the number of people flying in and out in a couple of days before and after the final

Truly remarkable. Maybe one day Palermo will be back in Europe. Sickens me they're being relegated to Serie C because of corrupt ownership.

From a City Fan whose team is undergoing an FFP review for obvious and blatant corruption and whose team is owned by some of the most despicable despots on the face of the earth this is rich.
Yeah. Their ownership is corrupt and shady. By Italian standards. Which is bad enough.
They cant hold a candle to City or PSG.

Well we've come to the first (and much, much lesser) all England final this week. While I would like to cheer for the giant sinkhole or speeding meteor, I guess I will go with Chelsea. It would be great if they won this, Hazard leaves and can't be replaced and of course Sarri is gone as well. I'm looking forward to seeing that going forward as it is!

Game kicks off at 11pm local in Baku, so if this goes to penalties it'll end around 1:45 am.

They must have spent a whole 10 minutes planning that opening ceremony.

Cameramen must be Armenian because they haven’t been allowed in the country either.

I feel like the presentation is better at the Cavalry games than what we’re seeing here!

Whole thing is predictably embarrassing. Match itself off to a poor start to boot.

Dull first half. Arsenal had the better of the first 35 minutes without creating much.
Chelsea with the best chances as the half went on.

Pretty much. A weak penalty shout and former Chelsea man Cech stopping former Arsenal man Giroud was about the only excitement.
For what it's worth I don't think it should have been a penalty. Didn't seem like any contact to me, though Chelsea is pretty lucky about that. The keeper missed the ball and barely missed Lacazette's foot.

In situations like that, you have to ask yourself how you would feel if a penalty was given against you for something like that.
I’d have been pissed off, so no, it wasn’t a penalty in my view either.

Giroud is the Europa League equivalent of Ronaldo.
