Denis takes on young Frenchman Ugo Humbert on Wednesday - Shapo should win, but this young French kid has plenty of game and will have the Lyon crowd fully behind him.

Up next for Felix is big serving American Steve Johnson on Thursday.

Wow, what a comeback by Rebecca Marino, down 5-1 in the third set and she reels off six straight games to win her first French Open qualifying match 6-7(5) 6-4 7-5

Denis was two points from losing to Humbert, but rallied to win 2-6 7-6(3) 6-2. Not a vintage performance by any means, but Shapo displayed some good fortitude battling back the way he did.

Darn it, Rebecca Marino loses her second French Open qualifying match. She took the opening set 7-5, but lost the next two by 7-6 and 6-4 set scores.

Meanwhile, Shapo and Paire are going to a third and deciding set. Paire won the opener 6-3 and Denis responded winning the second set 6-4. Much better tennis from Shapo in set 2 after a shaky first set.

Well, that's disappointing as Shapo loses to Paire in a tie-breaker in the third set. Denis had a 3-love lead in the tie-breaker and loses it 7-4.

Today is the French Open draw,to me the contenders are: Nadal, Djokovic, Thiem, Federer. Then you got the people who could pull an upset: Fognini, Tsitsipas, Schwartzman, Del Potro, Wawrinka. Interesting to see how it all shakes out

In more positive Canadian news, Brayden Schnur is into the quarter-finals of an ATP Challenger event in Jerusalem and if he were to go on to win the tournament would crack the top 100 as far as ATP rankings are concerned.

Felix takes the opening set over Steve Johnson 6-4. He only lost three points on his serve in that opening set.

Tough loss but great sign to see some solid play in Lyon from Shapo nonetheless. Great moment of sportsmanship here from the match by both players.

Felix just keeps on rolling in 2019.

These are hugely valuable points for Felix to cover some of the upcoming losses from last year's challenger circuit. He's got a great shot to make another finals here in Lyon if he can close this out.

Welp, I just heard on the broadcast that Milos has pulled out of the French Open. It's too bad on one hand, but it's not like he was training on clay either.

Things went off the rails in set 2 as Johnson won it 6-2, but Felix just broke Johnson to take a 2-1 lead in set 3.

Edit: Felix now up two breaks serving at 4-1 in set 3.

Mens Draw: Potential Quarterfinal matchups Djokovic vs Zverev, Thiem vs Delpo on one side and Federer vs Tsitsipas & Nadal vs Nishikori on the bottom half. Shapo is in Novaks quarter and could play him in the 4th round. Felix is in Delpo and Thiems quarter could play Delpo in 4th round.

A little wobbly towards the end, but Felix prevails taking set 3 6-4. Into the Lyon semi-finals to take on Basilashvili.
