Felix loses at the ATP Challenger event in Milan to the guy he defeated in the semi-finals last Saturday in Blois, France. Oh well, a little bit of a break isn't a bad thing and likely needed.

Seeds for Wimbledon were announced today. Federer gets the #1 seed over Nadal and Cilic moves up to 3rd seed over Zverev. Also Djokovic jumps up to 12th seed and Milos moves up to 13th seed. Andy Murray is not seeded however.
On the womens side the big surprise is Serena Williams has moved all the way up to the 25th seed.

Much needed going into Wimbledon as well. This draw is opening nicely for Denis. He has a great shot at a title here so long as he continues to play the way he did today.
It will be interesting to see if he's learned much from some recent defeats on grass as he prepares for the heavy serve and volley game of M. Zverev.

Genie will play singles in the main draw at Wimbledon following her final qualifying match win today. Unfortunately, both Brayden Schnur and Peter Polansky lost their final qualifying matches. Bianca Andreescu is still on court trying to join Genie in the women's main draw.
Edit: Too bad, Bianca lost her match, thus Genie is the lone Canadian in women's singles.

Denis struggling early against the serve and volley tactics of M Zverev. He seems to be striking the ball well though. I like his chances if he can re-compose himself and make a few adjustments.

Three double faults in your opening game makes it tough to hold serve. Looks a little breezy in Eastbourne today.

To me it seems like whenever Denis gets frustrated on court the double faults follow en masse this season. The kid really needs to dig deep and start putting the ball back down the lines on return and focus on getting those first serves in out wide to take the net game away.

Hopefully, Denis can just forget about that 1st set, M. Zverev just isn't giving him any time to get into this match.

He's going to have to learn when to start taking something off of his shots mid match when it's not working. Way too many errors on the ground caused simply by over hitting the ball. There were numerous opportunities for him to come forward by taking something off a few shots and he failed to adjust.
Hopefully his team can get him back on track or this match is going to slip away. The one positive is that the Zverev 1st serve percentage is plummeting in a hurry.

Well, a break by Denis to start the second start is a good start.
Edit: And he gives the break right back

Shapo playing better in this second set, the passing shots are finding the mark.

This game feels like a very pivotal one for the entire match. Great to see Shapo adjust and really force the issue this set. Too bad he didn't get it, but it shows Zverev he's figured things out.

Yup, too bad Denis couldn't get the break there, important service game coming up.
