Floyd was unnecessary rough on Fant, but either way I agree.
I wonder if it counts for a coach to say "I want a timeout as soon as he hits the ground" and the timeout motion isnt needed. Either way another ugly game... need to see 2018 Mitch come out again.

Sounds like both Brees and Big Ben could miss significant time with their respective injuries.

I mean, what a break for the Seahawks. First the Steelers lose Ben before the half, in a game they were leading. Now New Orleans has to come and play at Centurylink without Drew Brees. What was looking like a tough opening 5-6 games for them without key players is now looking like it might be an opening for 5-1 or better... and Ansah is back next week.
If only they had an offensive line.

There’s More History to Antonio Brown’s History
Exclusive: Accusations range from a previously untold account of sexual misconduct, a charity auction theft, multiple domestic incidents, and a long list of unpaid debts. Numerous conversations with people who have dealt with Brown, as well as reviews of court and police documents from three states, paint a disturbing picture.

I don't think he will be a Pat for long. They don't need him.

Kinda works out well for Pittsburgh, they probably weren't a playoff team this year even with a healthy Ben and now they'll get an extended look at Rudolph and if he's not the long term answer you're obviously drafting a QB next year and it's a pretty decent class.

Brees sounds like he's out for six weeks. Make or break time for Bridgewater pretty much.

either way, I think it isn't THAT bad for the franchise longterm. Based on the performances in week 1 and 2, I'm not sure they could have managed a winning record even with a healthy Ben ... now I wouldn't be surprised if it's a 4 or 5 win season. We'll see what they have in Rudolph, maybe he is starter material. Either way, could be a pretty high draft pick and hopefully a new coaching staff.

I think GM Colbert is in the last year of his contract too, and I wouldn't be surprised if they decided to move on from him too at the end of this year and go with a younger guy.
I saw Davis Sanchez saying that he thought the Saints were still a playoff team without Brees as their roster is pretty solid. But I don't think they can survive without him for long. Their one saving grace is that the NFC South is not exactly looking like a Division where any of the other teams are going to threaten to surpass 10 wins.
Small sample size, but it would seem the NFC West is the strongest Division in the league at this point, and the NFC North is second. The Patriots look like they belong in another league from every other team.

The Steelers looked to me like a team on the decline anyway so this probably gives them a good chance to evaluate Rudolph and a lot of players on offense as they just aren't dangerous anymore without Bell and AB.
I think the Saints have a chance to be .500 when Brees gets back with 3 winnable games in the next 6 games (Bucs, Jags, Cardinals). It will depend on how much Peyton can change the offense to work around Bridgewater's strengths. He hasn't looked great in limited duty but if Peyton can't make him look good then nobody short of Andy Reid can.

Can we all agree that if the Dolphins go 0-16 this year, that we never have to hear about the 1972 team again?

It could always be worse. Imagine how insufferable the current crop of Pats fans would be if Eli hadn’t saved us all?

While true, they'd be much less insufferable if John Kasay hadn't shanked a kickoff, Peter Carroll had called a run play, and Kyle Shannahan knew how to manage a clock, so I think we're still owed by the football gods there.
