That's probably a career ender for Mayza. Sucks a lot. Typically when Pitchers have that happen, they rarely come back and if they do, it's only for a short time (lousy). Horrible.

Well, he'll be 29 when he's ready to take to a professional pitching mound again, so not necessarily career ending. He has a major advantage in that he's a lefty, so someone will certainly take a look at him in 2021 if we don't.

But, speaking of risking one's career, Rowdy Tellez is not good enough that he can get away with dogging ground balls multiple times in a season.

What is with Mckinney and his creepy little pelvic thrust when he's in the batter box waiting for a pitch?

Good christ once you see it you can't not see it.

If i was a teammate i would absolutely destroy him for that lol

Jays made to look stupid on Castro's slider. All 3 guys Gurriel, Vladdy and Grichuk striking out hopelessly on that pitch down and away.

Grichuk made a nice catch a few moments ago but he made it alot harder than it should've been because he turned the wrong way.

Vlad really worries me sometimes to be honest. For someone who is supposed to be generational he looks helpless against any right hand pitcher with a half ways decent slider. The pitcher can just throw 3 straight down and away and vlad will pathetically wave at all three like a helpless little leaguer.

Hopefully he figures out how to identify that pitch and leave it the #### alone or they will just keep throwing it.

That was awesome. Biggio was hustling!! So cool.

Vladdys lack of launch angle in any capacity is concerning, he grounds out so often it has to be an issue for the Jays. Luckily he is still an above average hitter. he is 20, he takes walks, and has crazy exit velo. Nice tools to build around. As long as he takes his conditioning a bit more seriously, works on his weaknesses, I think he will be fine.

Man it's kind of sad seeing a pretty proud Orioles club that is typically well supported with a beautiful ball park with next to no one in the stands. Not great times for MLB baseball with so many teams fielding bad teams on purpose.

Was Aaron Hill the last Jay to hit a cycle?

Jeff Frye. And he stopped at first base on a clear double to get it too.

Kelly Gruber was the only other Jay to hit a cycle.

Yeah I knew Gruber once did it but couldn't remember who the other guy was. I thought it wss Brad Wilkerson but I think he did it with the Expos around that time.

Turns out Aaron Hill wasn't even a Jay in 2001, he did hit a couple cycles but that was in 2012. I need to brush up on my Jays trivia apparently.

I suck and don't know how to embed youtube videos. How am I a mod?

Anyhoo Jeff Frye, what's cool is Gruber is there. You can also see Frye asking if he should stop at 1st or what. The 1st base coach puts the brakes on him.

Jeff Frye hit that home run off Patrick Mahomes' dad!!

Also maybe someone could recruit Cuthbert back to doing a few Jays games here and there.

Gruber's cycle:

Fixed to embed.

How random, Chris Cuthbert with the Cbc Blue Jays call. And Gruber, shades backward on his head, just sauntering out of the crowd in street clothes, but none of his actual teammates come out to congratulate. And he owes those first two hits to some terrible fielding and judgement by the RF.
