Since 2022, he went 3 innings only once and 2 and a third inning once. He can eat two innings when necessary but he isn’t likely to go much longer. That’s why they brought in Stripling and White.

Pearson won’t likely replace Richards. He has options when Mitch White doesn’t. Pearson might replace White if he sucks (which is absolutely a possibility) but they’ll give White a look first because they’ll have to DFA him otherwise. Most likely Pearson gets a call up when there’s an injury…or if Yimi Garcia keeps pitching like this… jk
