I know this is a Switch thread but has anyone played Zelda on the WiiU? Is there a discernible difference? I can't justify the new console purchase yet.
I am playing it on the Wii U and it's been great. I got to play a little on the Switch as well and from what I've seen it's not worth shelling out for a new console.
Can you aim with the Gamepad (or with the Pro controller for that matter)? Being able to aim just by moving the controller around increased my enjoyment of the game significantly; I hate aiming with thumbsticks and am terrible at it.
I assume the pro controllers don't have the motion controls.

But certainty is an absurd one.

Pro controllers have no motion sensors. You have to use the gamepad for that (see my previous post a few minutes ago about this), but I'd recommend using the Pro controller as much as possible. It's a more comfortable and accurate controller than the gamepad, IMO.

The Switch pro controller does in fact have motion control, I turned it off for bow aiming myself, but you still need it for some puzzles involving moving the axis of the controller itself.

if you don't play on the go there is no real advantage to the switch...in fact they removed the gamepad stuff or it would have been better on the Wii U
Anyone have a system crash yet? I had an error code, and lock up, I think it was 2168-0002. Hopefully a one time issue. Strangely upon reboot my wifi wasn't working properly. It could see my network, but showed zero bars. A reboot and it was back up to 2 bars, without me moving it at all. System is up to date. Hopefully they iron out these glitches.
I got pretty close to my third divine beast, but got distracted and have been wandering around finding shrines and upgrades. It's fun finding ways to break shrines when you can't make them work as designed and figure out a work around.
Also found a loophole that made the hideout much easier. Stupid sneak quests. Hate them.
I went in to Calamity Ganon yesterday dramatically over-prepared (tons of awesome weapons and hearty healing items) and kicked the crap out of him. It's even easier if:
Spoiler!
You find the Hylian Shield in the castle lock-up. Just make sure you've practiced deflecting those guardian lasers!
My armor level was 48 and I had 14 hearts, if that's an indication of if you want to know if you're ready yet. I've kept playing, just doing shrines and finding cool stuff. Just such a fun game to explore and I still have so much I want to see in it.
And the music in Hyrule Castle. My goodness. Maybe my favorite music track in a Zelda game.

I did my best Metal Gear Solid impression to get the final memory at Hyrule Castle, and yeah...all the music there is fantastic. Lots of cool stuff to find there too.
I don't think I buy that. Mine sits in the dock for days on end and it's completely fine
Same. However, the downside to being a day one adopter is you get to discover all these little flaws that get ironed out in the second and later revisions of the hardware. Thanks to the internet, problems that impact a minute number of users get magnified beyond reason.
If anyone is waiting for their Orzly tempered glass screen protector to arrive, mine arrived yesterday - exactly one month after my March 4th order date. That might help you estimate when yours will show up.

That sucks! For those that haven't ordered and are looking to do so use Amazon. I ordered mine last Thursday morning and it arrived Friday evening. The delivery time was incredible.

An Orzly one? I ordered mine through Amazon on March 5th and it still isn't here.
Looks like it is available for 1 day shipping, and is $2 cheaper. What pisses me off is when you order something like this it says it is sold from Orzly Canada Storefront but ends up shipping form the UK.
