I love our goalies and tanev and eat bread.

I'd love to like other players too. Give me a reason to like you, other players.

TOR is gapping them really well. The need an answer to that so they can get some offense going. The forecheck is not too effective right now.

But playing well and competing hard. Keep at it. Skate and make the adjustments.

Good period. I have no idea what ppl are complaining about save maybe the last 3 minutes when the defensive zone give aways crept in. Ritter really saved their bacon for sure. I get being down on the team but take er down about 35 percent chaps.

Zeroes after 2 and the team has played a really strong defensive game against a top scoring team.

Gold stars to Kylington, Rittich.

I've noticed Gawdins playing it really safe put there, focused a lot on positioning but not doing much else. Thats about the only player I've seen not contributing much on the ice.

Dube also seems to be dogging it a bit. But, he has a shot or two on net.

Some screened shots and net front scrambles would be nice.

Are we actually a slow team or do we play slow?

Leafs are not scared of the flames breakout at all. They are pinching every time. D need to skate the puck out more.

OMG, how many times is Sportsnet going to show those replays of same Leafs' shots on Rittich during this intermission?

I'd say both. Not the fastest team but faster than this

We have little to no confidence as per usual. We need these wins to get our swagger back. But mentally we're so fragile.

So yeah the Leafs have been a bit better, but i think the Flames effort is fine.

Playing hard...not playing smart.

Finding themselves on the wrong side of the puck all the time and then there were some really strange decisions by some guys as well. That Gaudreau pss to Monny on the PP was so odd, JG had all kinds of space and he guns into SM's feet who also has a guy draped all over him.

So they are playing the number 1 team in the league, number 2 offense, in their arena....have taken 10 penalties over the 5 periods played....havent given up a goal and already won the first game.

Im taking that every time and not complaining about what didnt go right.

If they get even 1 point out of this one...its a hugely successful stay in Toronto.

Calgary has one player I consider fast (Dube), and he’s playing with a guy who’s medium and a really slow guy. They have another guy who’s pretty fast (Mangiapane), and he’s playing with a medium guy and a really slow guy. Then they have a line with two medium guys and a pretty slow guy. And a 4th line.

Their D has two fast guys (who don’t play together), 3 medium guys and a guy who used to be fast but ain’t.

No really dangerous shots at all. They have zero goals because they have done nothing offensively. No sustained offensive pressure.

The Leafs have zero goals because BSD is standing on his head. Lots of pressure, lots of grade A chances.

Doesn't exactly seem like a recipe for success.

That Johnny pass looked like a lack of confidence - not sure why. Or maybe trying too hard to Monahan on a scoring streak?

Either Geoff Ward loves the grind em out style or the team ignores him.
