I don't even know if I've ever seen a picture of a hockey player holding a cat.

Ovechkin looks like such a movie villain. He should be holding a cat.

Just to make it fair to Gretzky the rest of the way Ovechkin should have to wear an eye-patch when he's playing.

Darian Hatcher of all people had one in the Stars Pet Calendar. But it only had 1 eye, so it was tough (for a cat).
I looked for it, but only found Klingberg cuddling his cat (2 eyes).

Barring an injury, it look pretty inevitable. Should get 20 or so more this year. That leaves 30-35 average over the next 2 years. Even with a massive fall off in production, that looks pretty attainable.
The Washington coaching staff also seems to be on board with just letting him fire off one-timers.

Yep. Looks poised to get another 20 this season, cutting the magic number to 65.
65 goals is not insignificant, but if anyone can do it at 38+ it's Ovi. Heck, he might just score all 65 in one season to get it done an over with, just like he did with 800, 801 and 802.

I was going to say his defensive game isn't what it used to be, but I guess when you're the greatest goal scorer of all time, you should play to your strengths.
