Some positive news on the Canadian tennis front as Adil Shamasdin and partner Andres Molteni are into the round of 16 in men's doubles as they won their match earlier today.

I think the ankle was affecting her service game as well as her ability to go forward. She only won something like 1/4 of her second serve points
If the injury prevents her from pushing up on her toes, it's likely the same thing affecting her first step forward as well.
She looked okay hitting in rallies, but was outplayed by a player with tremendous finesse today.
She took a break between sets and was a different player in the second (for the worse).

Milos moves on after Garcia-Lopez is forced to retire one game into the second set (Milos won the first set 6-1). He next faces Pablo Carreno Busta in the round of 16 who upset Grigor Dimitrov in straight sets.

Sucks for Garcia-Lopez, but a good time for Milos to essentially get a good rest in.

Agreed. You never like to see anyone get hurt. Goffin is injured now. Does it seem like there's an abundance of injuries this year? Or are they all just happening at once, so it seems like more?

Here's video of the Goffin injury if you want to see how/what happened. Kind of a freak accident as Goffin was scrambling to get to a ball at the backend of the court and as he slid on the clay, his foot caught under the tarp that covers the court when it rains and he tumbled down in a heap. Of course, nothing likely happens if that tarp is stored somewhere off the playing surface.

Yeah, obviously you don't want to see anybody get hurt, but Milos has played a lot of tennis over the last few weeks and it's been very hot in Paris this week. A little bit of a break and rest is definitely welcomed at this point.

Novak staring another early exit in the face. Schwartzman not even playing that great either.

Upset brewing as Diego Schwartzman is up 2 sets to 1 on Joker. The kid is playing some fine tennis today.

All of a sudden, Schwartzman has lost the plot and Joker races out to a 3-0 lead in set 4.

I like how we have totally different views of Schwartzman's play lol. But twice as many errors as winners kinda says it's more about Novak.

lol - I have to admit I've been distracted by stupid work and haven't been able to watch the entire match, but the parts I have watched Schwartzman has looked good. He seems to be going off the rails in this fourth set though.

Novak just called for a 2nd time violation.
Edit: Another warning issued by the umpire (I think it was for something Novak said) and Novak has a heated discussion with the chair umpire.

Well, that was a quick 4th set and we're heading to a 5th and deciding set.

Schwartzman holding his side in this 5th set, it doesn't look good for him.

Adil Shamasdin and partner Andres Molteni's French Open is over as they were eliminated in straight sets earlier today. Also, Fognini had four set points in the first set against Wawrinka, but lost in a tie-breaker and now has called for the trainer in set 2.
