My post after the first period seems as appropriate now as it did then:
*Flames play s*** hockey against the Leafs but get Godly goaltending*
Some Flames fans: "The Flames played 2 great road games against a great team. How can anyone be disappointed in how they played?"
*Flames play exact same s*** hockey against the Senators but without Godly goaltending*
Same Flames fans:
Honestly have no idea how anyone can be surprised at this outcome.
The Flames played basically the exact same quality of hockey as they did against the Leafs, except this time they just didn't get the Godly goaltending.
Also as I said in the GT, the Flames have scored 5 5v5 goals in their last 6 games.
In those 6 games, they have faced:
- Braden Holtby
- Mike Smith
- Mikko Koskinen
- Michael Hutchinson x2
- Matt Murray
Geoff. Ward.
It's a very exciting time to be a Calgary Flames fan, folks.

I am starting to think TJ Brodie was the engine that made this team click. He was probably our best puck rusher besides Gaudreau, compensating for the flaws in Monahan et al's games and we let him walk for nothing
