Ruzicka interests me greatly. Big with great hands. If he keeps working on his skating he has some potential.

A nice part of the Heat playing is I still have some part of the Flames org I can be relatively invested in. Fun to watch the new kids grow.

Heat up 2-0 on Belleville. Ruzicka has set up Zary for his first two AHL goals.

Also — I really have no other way to describe the period thus far other than to say this AHL TV stream is genuinely the worst hockey broadcast I've ever watched. The game clock and scoreboard have been wrong since the opening faceoff.

The sound keeps cutting in and out and the clock keeps running between whistles. I don't know if the shot counter is accurate. It's bonkers.

Happy for Zary. Tear the league up kid.

Ruzicka and Phillips are guys that the org needs to give NHL looks to. You don't know what you have there until you give them a shot. If you don't give them the opportunity another team will later on with their performances and production.

Not sure this is the year to promote a couple kids. In a shortened season the Flames should be playing these guys as much as possible with the Heat.

I'm not a huge Phillips fan, but my admiration for Ruzicka grows every game. He seems to be figuring out the pro game.

The chaos is honestly amazing. Never seen a production like this.

Seriously, I'm not crazy... right?

I cannot imagine what is going on behind the scenes.

Impossible to say as I doubt the shot counter is correct. This whole period has been a disaster production-wise.

Heat seem to be fine. Sparks did make one big save on a breakaway.

Goalies are Sparks and a guy I don't recognize. Zagidulin is still with the Flames and Wolf had to go back to Everett. Parsons is injured.

Stockton's backup tonight is Hayden Lavigne.

The second period has begun but the stream has yet to be fixed, so—no video. I have no idea what's going on.

The stream is back but it's as low-quality as ever.

It's like the entire production crew downed a bottle of wine before the game started. The clock hasn't moved for like, 10 minutes.

On the PP, Kirkland makes it 3-0 for the Heat.

Lol are they broadcasting their games with a webcam?

Exactly what I imagined from a displaced AHL team in covid times.

I think I follow youtubers that carry out better daily live productions.

Zary has some quick hands, nice to see him produce. Was a bit worried when he didn't have that much production at the WJC.

He's already played 3 full seasons in the WHL, the AHL might be the best place for him to develop.

Heat get a break, score a goal that definitely should have been called back for being offside. But it's Zary -> Phillips -> Ruzicka again.

Don't think Zary is 20 yet, so he'll have to go back to junior if BC decides to let the WHL teams play.

Zary - Ruzicka is an interesting combo. Maybe a future pairing?

Yeah, unless they become a regular, I don’t want them constant scratches or taxi squadders.
