Yup, but after they got closed down for health violations they switched out of the buffet business and are now Omo.

If you want pizza, call and order the Randy Special.

Long story short, there's a fellow named Randy that may or may not have worked at another pizza place and may or may not have brought a few recipes with him. You can only get said pizza if Randy is working that day. And if you know to order the Randy Special.

It's not on their menu but it's the best goddamn pizza I've ever had, and I've scoured NY and Chicago.

Mention my user name and he'll likely throw in a little extra.
Ending up doing this (and assuming I got the special since I didn't know what was on it before I ordered haha). Great pizza. A little pricey but living in Beddington it was nice to support a local place.

Hahaha I knew somebody did! I was on the road yesterday and my buddy texted me that he got an order from CP. Glad you liked it.

Girlfriend has got takeout from there a couple of times, and really likes it. I thought it was pretty good, and would probably be better for sit down instead of delivery.

Be sure to stop by Eggsmart in Midnapore in the same lot as the Value Village mall. I randomly called today as I had things to do in the morning, turns out it was their first day open in a couple months.

Unlike other fast food restaurants breakfast isn't really a big delivery/take out food so they shut down for both shutdowns (spring/december). Owner was really nice and the breakfast was excellent, but you could sense the frustration and anxiety over this time for her, as I believe they had just opened before Covid.

Finally went to To Me and had their beef sate sub and coconut curry chicken rice vermicelli.
Both decently good and definitely was a great value for the prices. Just a bit disappointed they don’t use sliced onions Considering it’s on the photos and billboards.

Did anyone get to try their Pho before they Removed it from their menu?

Had Pigot's Burger Club. Not bad. Burger was a bit heavy, could have used ketchup or something to lighten it up. Also had MrBeast, absolutely horrible. Mushy, bland and smelled odd... I'm assuming a ghost kitchen. Lil Empire still better for the newer burger places.

Mr. Beast was terrible. We ordered it at lunch for 4 people earlier this week. 3 burgers that tasted like frozen patties and a Nashville hot chicken sandwich that had barely any heat or real flavor to it.

Just had breakfast at the Nash today. very well executed and tasty. Their hours on their website are not updated, but they are open more often now.

This may be my first time posting in this thread, but do value it. My post is about my favourite sushi restaurant;
It had sub-par interior décor, it was across the street from a pretty popular Sushi Chain, Globe Fish, and the owners weren't even actually Japanese.

This Korean family of three, owned Els in Marda Loop. Their service, was ALWAYS greeted with a smile, some rolls I just loved, above average sushi, and I always got a table. Uusually, it was the husband (chef), & wife (serving, taking orders), and sometimes their daughter on busy days. I'd visit religiously bi-monthly, taking clients, and friends there.

Sadly, they left me on a kind personal, note with my Boxing Day take-out order, that they would be shutting down on Jan 1, permanently. Honestly, saddened for them -- they did say they're retiring, but perhaps I'm being pessimistic. I'd love to know they're doing wonderfully.

So yes, of course I ordered tons on NYE. No regrets in how often I went, but I do regret not having shared Els with you fine folk. Hopefully many of you shared a similar experience.

There are a lot of restaurants in tough shape. If you have a favourite place that you want to see survive you should support it as much as you can and share your views on social media so others might support it, it can’t hurt. If you don’t care that much and you just go for convenience, no worries - if they fail there will almost certainly be something else replacing it.

I don't reckon his post was directed at you specifically, but I might be wrong.

I will say that I have found some good places to eat and I tell everyone I know. I don't have a big social media footprint, so I just tell people.

That's why I started this thread.

Have done takeout from at Pubblico Italian Kitchen in Marda Loop a couple of times...absolutely delicious! They had the unfortunate timing of opening just as COVID hit, but so far are hanging on.
