My installer just won an award as top carrier dealer in Canada....a distinction less than 5% of Carrier representatives in Canada get to enjoy

Dealing with Keith and Kyle/Cody at Chestermere Heating over the last couple of days has been the BEST SERVICE EXPERIENCE I'VE RECEIVED IN CALGARY that I can remember!

TLDR:

- Super Responsive
- Punctual
- Knowledgable/thorough/empathetic and never patronizing
- Absolutely not opportunistic - could have made thousands more by overselling. I wouldn't have ever known (was expecting to have to buy a new furnace based on the tech from (rhymes with Alliance), who'd been in the night before, tried selling us a new furnace even while admitting he didn't have the expertise to change out heat exchangers).
- Above and beyond on price and customer service. They comped their service call charge even though I'm in Woodbine and they're in Chestermere! Then, when installing my new heat exchangers, discovered they'd missed a crack on one that they thought was ok when they examined it the day before. They drove across town to get a new one, and then comped the cost of the exchanger and their time in getting it because they felt like they should have found the crack when they first examined the unit.

2 days after the fact, I'm still pinching myself that this kind of service is available in Calgary. I've been telling everybody about my unexpectedly amazing service experience.

I can't recommend Keith and Chestermere enough....they're just fantastic.

Just had Kyle from Chestermere Heating and Cooling come out to look at my furnace. Made the call around 2:30 today, he was here before 3:30 and finished the repair before 4.

I thought the furnace was short cycling, but turns out it's the gas valve that was causing the issue. Kyle has apparently seen these gas valves fail in other houses built in 2014 that used the same furnace. He was very thorough, explained what it was, replaced the part and got it back up and running in no time.

Would definitely recommend him!

Question - if a furnace is single stage, can you change it to dual or modulating or is it a full replacement?

If you can upgrade any ballpark on cost?

The expense would be just as high as replacement. And don't just buy any furnace either.

Carrier would be where I'd start with THAT replacement. They have the patent on fully variable and fully modulating furnace fans, gas valves and the top warranty in the industry.

My installer just won carriers highest level ONLY given to top 5% across Canada.

Want a great furnace?? Call and arrange for Kyle at Chestemere heating 403-272-9976 to come in and give you an estimate.

End of the month is here.

Please remember to Change your filters and if using 3M , pleated, woven , Kirkland filters from Costco Change those monthly as your furnace works twice as hard heating and cooling with those in place.

Moving ??? Please remember to save yourself money and get your new places furnace inspected FOR FREE by me.

Whether your buying or renting it doesn't matter......i do it all.

Did 3 move in ....post occupancy cleanings and inspections this last week where ALL furnaces FAILED Inspections.

All customers used terrible home inspectors and paid $700 to $1200.

I'm now representing each one for full refunds on the service they paid for since these home inspectors couldn't give appropriate attention to the jobs they were paid handsomely to do.

I do FREE Inspections in any circumstance to ANYONE wanting to learn, or find out whether to buy or rent any new place they're looking at to live.

Getting lots of Inquiries about air conditioning installs and frozen coils .

To prevent frozen coils......

please never turn thermostat to lower than 22
ALWAYS use only see thru fiberglass disposable filter and NOT 3M filters of any MERV rating .....not Kirkland either.....they are too thick and restrictive.

Please DONT leave windows and doors open as it defeats the purpose of a.cool home.

I'm booking into September for air conditioning installs.

Default Furnace tuneups //inspection ///repair

Is there a way to test your ducts for leaks along the runs? I feel like the air flow from some vents is a lot more than others, and I have checked that they are open. If we ever get a/c put in, I’d like to know that all of the ducting is sound.

Also for the a/c installs does the unit need to be on the same side of the house as the furnace room? We have no room on that side to put an a/c unit and still be able to access the backyard.

We will determine that upon investigation. Everything will obviously need to be up to code for placement of the unit outside.

If the basement is undeveloped and ducts and venting is accessible then 3 things will be needed to start your project.

Screws, heat tape/ foil tape, and brush on duct sealant. Find your airloss and seal that up.

Most airloss will occur on the joint between the furnace and transition plenum attaching the 2 .

Eliminate any ceiling intakes in basement if there are any as they are imbalancing your entire house.

If you want good performance you also need to think about your current furnace as well.

Older furnaces being asked to push air thru a coil will struggle and underperform lime crazy and heighten the risk of freezing coils .

Just something to think about. I personally refuse to install new air conditioning over anything over 5 years old as the furnace just won't cut it long term and anyone installing against this just wants your $$$$ and doesn't care at all about you as a customer.

Make damn sure the vents ducts and furnace get cleaned, inspected and tuned up prior .
