I actually have the Rocketfish Rear Wireless Transmitter/Receiver units, and they're pretty solid TBH. I still use them in my entertainment room for rear surrounds (I have 5.1).
I used to use one set for my rear satellites, and the other as my front 'B' speakers that I'd put on the balcony in my old condo for playing music outside. They were surprisingly good, even for having to pass through the exterior glass. The latency is not bad at all, and barely perceptible depending on the distance from the transmitters.

Walmart or Amazon?

Returned the Samsung and got this. And my good judgement is rewarded. It's now on sale! Going to Costco tomorrow to get my price protection!

I bought it in October 2017 from Amazon. I was $650USD all in.
It could use an additional HDMI in, 3 is a bit light if you aren't running through a receiver.
My only gripe is that Roku doesn't have a web browser. I'm told you can sideload one, but I haven't pursued it as I have a ChannelMaster Android box.

Yeah I see the same. I can't hard wire it until spring. Gotta use my Roku again until then.

You guys might want to look at the quality of your wireless networks then. I have the same TV and have no issues with the wireless?
Have you updated the FW on the TV?

Its a pretty known issue online. Not so much that it is slow but it cuts out every now and then and apps wont work.
I can easily wire it so much prefer that anyway.

So, my receiver has finally died, it's main use isn't even for watching movies in surround anymore. I use it for the multi-room AB capability to play music in different rooms off my laptop / phone / record player via chromecast or from direct input.
I'm just curious if there are any solutions that may not require a new receiver. or if purchasing another receiver with AB room capabilities is still my best bet.

You'd have a hell of a time beating the value in this sound bar IMO, especially in your price range. I'm sure there's options out there in your price range, but it'd be hard to find within the same range and that extra $50 off is sweet.
|
Just a heads up, these are back on sale for $200. You can not go wrong, especially at that price.
I was so impressed I had to get another set for our bedroom.
Website currently showing 209.99 but it was 199.99 in the store.

Anyone have an opinion on Soundstage speakers?
edit...
I should add....I know there is better out there but just want to know if they are worth considering or avoiding.

Help me identify these cables. Obviously these are 2 HDMI's... component, but then there's another couple. Speaker cables maybe?

edit: fixed. It seems I can't find a image host to save my life that lets me just copy and paste the direct picture

They all look like component cables to me.
Sort of like this:

Can I use them for audio or will I wind up needing a dosimeter?

The HDMI is a no go. It's old and nothing works on it
I just want to get rear surround sound.
