Wow, you’d need to go back for 4ths to make that pay off.

The new NFL stadium is currently being built just south of Mandalay Bay, and I did a helicopter tour so got to see a good view of that.
The Park MGM hotel seemed really nice and was very central, especially if you're going to a Knights game. There are quite a few places near there to grab a beer/dinner before the game. In T-Mobile beers are $16 USD each

We did the Buffet of Buffet pass with Caesar's in December. With the exception of Bucchanal at Caesar's Palace the buffets are garbage. It was $95 or so but that included a $25 or $30 upgrade fee to go to Bucchanal. We also checked out Rio when we saw Penn and Teller and Paris for breakfast the next morning. The Rio buffet was awful. I found that almost everything was inedible. The Paris breakfast was quite good but the lineup for things like crepes and omelettes were really long. The Caesar's buffet is really the only one worth going to at CET properties. I've heard good things about the Bally's sunday brunch, Champagne Brunch or whatever, but at $100 it is pretty pricey.

I've been to the buffet at MGM Grand and the buffet at Mirage in the last 18 months. I enjoyed them both. I think I liked Mirage better though.
Bachanal is the top reviewed by people who have been. Bellagio used to get good reviews, but then Bachanal became top dog and people now hate on Bellagio.
A surprisingly good buffet I've heard is Excalibur. I'll try it out one day to see for myself.

I have always liked the MGM Grand buffet. It is a solid buffet with great food offerings and a lot of variety. MGM Grand is my go-to resort in Vegas. This last trip we decided to try Bally's and CET as it was comped and we were upgraded to Diamond status so we had a bunch of other perks. MGM is a much better run organization with nicer and more interesting properties. I find MGM has better offerings for restaurants and shows.

Honestly wouldn't have picked anywhere else if I could do it again. Fantastic spot.

I was checking this place out online and was thinking it would be a good spot for soaking in all that super bowl has to offer.

Has anyone used any of the hotel pools in Vegas?
Thoughts on which are good and which aren't that good? We're going with some friends this year who've never been and they want to stay somewhere with a good pool.
I've stayed at 6 different hotels there but the Palazzo was the only pool I've ever been at. Price wise we're looking at one of Park MGM, NYNY, Luxor, Paris, MGM, Signature, Mirage or Vdara.

For the ones I've used - If you want a relaxing pool experience, Aria and Caesars are top notch.
If you want to party, Flamingo is fun.
A good mix of both is MGM Grand.
Linq pool sucks.

I believe they take reservations online too. Not sure if that would change for Super Bowl, but they were taking them when I was there. And for the big game it would be nice to have a guaranteed spot.
The vast majority of people there when I was there were pretty in to the game so it should be a fun time for Super Bowl.

They are taking reservations $100 per person for a seat and buffet. I have a feeling I won’t be going there. I like football but I can think of many better ways of spending that in Vegas.

Yeah the Aria is our go to in Vegas, particularly because once you get off the casino floor it's very relaxing by Vegas standards. The pool is adjacent to the spa and especially chill.

The pool at MGM Grand is great. The signature towers have a couple smaller pools on site but also include access to the one at MGM Grand.
I haven't been to the one at Park but I walked by it last year when it was under construction and it looked very disappointing. I've subsequently read poor reviews of the pool and resort in general.

I just watched a youTube video of the Park MGM pool reno and it looks pretty basic. Sounds like there used to be a cool lazy river and the whole area Monte Carlo pool was supposedly quite nice before.

I tried to do an 2000m lap swim at the MGM a few years ago. Mildly successful, eventually people stopped wandering across my lane.

$100 is steep. If that was $50 I could see it being worth it for the food and atmosphere, but $100 is a tough sell.

We either do a cabana at Aria or just do the exclusive Sky Suites pool at Aria. Great place to relax in Vegas.

You should be able to find deals that include bottomless beers for $150-$200. Might be a better option, if you plan to drink throughout the game. I'd try and find a place that transitions into a bar/nightclub after the game and a deal that includes cover after the game.
It sounds like a lot, but once you add up what you'd pay for all those things separately there are some packages out there with pretty good value.

I've been to the pool at MGM Grand. It was pretty good. This was years ago before they built Wet Republic beside it. This was also when Criss Angel was just starting to gain fame. He was at the pool sitting 10 feet from me. I recognized him but didn't know who or from where. The week I got back I saw him on his new TV show. I was like "Hey what else have I seen him in?" My wife said "the pool at MGM Grand."
I would recommend the MGM Grand pool. You can check it out on street view. At least you could a couple years ago.
I've been to the pool at NYNY but only to use the hot tub. It was cold and windy so only the hot tub was open. The pool looked pretty basic. The only people using the hot tub were us Canadians and a guy from Alaska.
Mirage pool gets good reviews too.

Gotta be careful of Mirage pool reviews because, if I'm not mistaken, they actually have two different sections in their pool area. One section is for everyone while the other section requires an additional fee to get in. It is kind of sneaky and the paid area is much nicer.

Do Vegas hotel pools charge for admission, cabana rentals or lounge chair rentals? Or is that all included in the resort fee?

Depends. All cabanas cost money (about 2k a day with once you include bottle service). Most pools access is included for regular loungers. Some hotels have higher end pools that you get access to if you’re in a suite, etc. lots of options!
