Default Flames send Pelletier down..

Not a fan personally. Give him a bigger opportunity instead of 6 mins on 4th line and let the youthful exuberance rub off.

I think he needs to get back into game shape and get some confidence back.

He's been plagued by injury all year, no need to have him sit the next 4 days

Let him go play a couple games for the Wranglers.

He needs ice time. This is what’s best

He needs playing time. Good move on the Flames' part to get him that.

Honestly surprised it's not Coronato.

Coronato was part of the team's most effective line last night and had the key assist on the team's first goal.

He looks quicker, and wins more puck battles.

Nothing wrong with more AHL time but he's looked good on this recall.

Decent skater and a hard worker. Rarely gets into trouble. But it's a numbers game - Zary's coming back, and everyone else requires waivers. The only other option is Coronato and I think he needs a couple more games up to adjust.

Pelletier's had a rough go of it since coming back from his surgery and then getting hurt again against the Rangers.

Unsure if part of its mental, but he needs to play more and get that confidence back.

He's also already played more this season than any point in his career (62 games).

So for him a bit more of a rested schedule, and 8 minutes a night isn't going to hurt him.

Pelletier is the opposite. He's played 17 games this year. He just needs ice time.

I like it, kid needs ice time (in a top 9 role). Especially after missing most of the season with that injury.

Personally the jury is still out on Pelletier. I don’t think this is a bad move. I love the guys personality and enthusiasm. Really hard worker. But his game still leaves much to be desired. I think this is the right call for now.

It’s the right move. He hasn’t looked good at all since coming back from injury. I would leave him down there for a while.

Really? The same Coronato who’s had a goal and an assist in the last 3 games in limited ice time?

If Pelletier can turn into a solid 3rd line player, I will be happy. Anything more and I will be delighted.

What numbers do you expect from anyone playing next to Kevin Rooney?

Honestly, I am not sure why the Flames were in such a hurry to call him up after his return from injury. They probably wanted his infectious and positive attitude int he dressing room but he should have been playing big minutes in the AHL the past month and then recalled down the stretch in a bigger role here.

Don't look now but Lazar is 4 points behind Holtz points (in 5 less games) on the Devils. It's a career year for him playing fairly decent minutes (like 12 per game). Plus 11 on a generally minus team.

I'm unconvinced that he is going to be a top 6 player in the NHL, and his size isn't ideal for the bottom 6. I just don't see high-end skill in him. It's unfortunate because no doubt injuries set his development back. I love his attitude and he has a great motor, so he is the kind of player you want to root for.

I feel like he needs a hard reset in the AHL where he can get a tonne of ice-time and work on things.

He might become a slightly smaller version of Coleman. Defensively sound, OK skills, works hard, never scores a pretty goal but pots a few by being there.
