Yeah I put my name in a a couple weeks ago. I am also going to NYC soon and as long the host isn't a massive draw, I will be one of the fools sitting out on the street for 12+ hours in the hopes of getting tickets.

We did this when in NYC for the Jane Lynch show. It really wasn't that long. We lined up at 6 am and were about 30th in line for standby tickets. They came out at 8 or 9 and gave everyone in line numbered tickets and we came back later that night to line up for the show. Only 10 or 15 people got in on standby and I think we waited for an hour or two. Overall not that bad to wait. In the AM, New York is great with a bunch of breakfast food trucks. And at night, well there are a lot worse places to stand around waiting than Rockefeller Centre.

I love that video, my favorite was him just trying to figure out why they brought him in to host. You kind of have to watch it as obviously Norm's legendary delivery is what makes it so funny.
"In a year and a half, how did I got from being not funny enough to be even allowed in the building, to being so funny that I'm now hosting the show?".
