Andreas Johnsson is a good third liner getting paid $3.4M a season. If he and Milan Lucic were both being paid $1M per season, their values would be similar. Due to the salaries involved, this was a more even trade than it looks on the surface. Good for New Jersey weaponizing their cap situation.

AJ had a 20 goal 43 point season the season before last and only played 73 games.
Last season he had 8 goals and 21 points but only in 43 games because of injury.
Also those points mostly came at even strength.
Lucic is just horrible and I don't understand the comparison.
He's put up 20 points the last two season and a huge percentage of those points is from PP time.
