Espn: Rich Hill is the first pitcher in the last 100 seasons to throw at least 9 innings, allow 1 or fewer hits with no walks, and get a loss.

I don't get the point of bringing Hill in in the 10th. The only way he could get a no hitter was to get a run in the top of the 11th and he'd have to pitch in the 11th.
If he really wanted the no hitter, they should have just intentionally walked 4 batters, and he'd get it without throwing a pitch! The game was meaningless to the Dodgers anyway.

I remember 2 days before Denis Martinez threw his perfect game Mark Gardiner had a 9 inning no hitter for the Expo's against the Dodgers, and he also lost it in the 10th inning. Similar thing where this was in the bottom of the 10th so he would have had to throw 11 to keep it.
I can't remember what year it was where Andy Hawkins of the Yankees no hit the White Sox, but lost the game 4-0, due to a bunch of errors, that was either 90 or 91.

Maybe its just me but it does reallyi seem like the guy trying for the no hitter never seems to get the run support.

I'd ban Bentances for life for that. That looked 100% intentional.

Betances is a bitch for trying to kill McCann with that 98mph FB to the head. As is Sanchez.

The baseball beanball culture is ridiculous and will one day get someone seriously hurt.
From the look of Fulmer after hitting Sanchez, there is no way that was intentional. From the look of both Yanks pitchers - 100% intentional.

Could be a result of aces going against aces.

I saw this stat today.

Coming into Thursday, Dellin Betances had thrown 1,396 fastballs against right-handed hitters in his career, and only one had hit a batter.
Let's see what the suspension will be.

JUST IN - #MLB issues suspensions for Thurs' NYY-DET brawls: Detroit's Miguel Cabrera - 7 GMs, Alex Wilson - 4 GMs, Brad Ausmus - 1 GM (1/2)
SportsCentre @SportsCentre
Also suspended by #MLB - New York Yankees' Gary Sanchez - 4 games, Austin Romine - 2 games (2/2)
Nothing for Betances is beyond a joke. and shows major favoritism by MLB towards the Yankees.

Betances should have got something. Romine should have got more games.

Sanchez throws 2 sucker punches at Cabrera as he is pinned on the ground, only gets 4 games, and is appealing. What a ####ing joke he got less than Cabrera. Does he have bitch, coward, cheap shot, or d-bag on his jersey this weekend?
Betances getting nothing is a joke too.

As much as people made fun of the XFL, they were doing nicknames on jerseys nearly 20 years ago.

My stupid Yahoo fantasy app didn't save on Monday as I was setting my lineup when I went to bed.
So Chris Sale and Dylan Bundy sat on my bench yesterday to combine for 16 innings with no runs, 23 strikeouts and a complete game...ARGHH!!!
