Walker Duehr assigned to Stockton

Saves against the cap for a few days.
Also perhaps an opportunity to call up someone else (Ruzicka/Pelletier?) and let Duehr get some AHL games in the meantime. Or maybe Ritchie is healthy again?
Stockton plays this Friday and Saturday.

Oh god I forgot about Ritchie for a few days. Please just sit him in popcorn row, forever.

He's not on LTIR. Regular IR is only a minimum of 7 days.

while I share your skepticism, if Ritchie is indeed healthy, Duehr to Stockton is the correct move
also a correct move, Ritchie to the pressbox

Hope this is to rotate someone new up here. Hoping Pelletier or Ruzicka get a chance.

Ritchie isn't terrible in a 4th line role, I just find it hilarious how much Darryl loves him.
Actually, Ritchie-Gawdin-Lewis still have the single best 4th line shift we've had all season (vs the Ducks) so I'd welcome his footspeed in that role

I’d like to see a Pelletier in for Pitlick trial.

I'd have him come up and sub in for injury and see how he does in that time. Even if he doesn't come in for a healthy-scratched Pitlick (which I don't think is needed right now), this is a lot about showing the kids that if you perform down in the A, you'll get a shot to come up and st the very least, practice with an NHL team.
