Will you support Iginla if he gets traded?
I know this has been discussed in other threads, but I wanted to see (perhaps a poll, mods?) how people felt about supporting Iginla, if he were to be traded. By support it can mean many things: cheer, watch his game, purchase merchandise, etc.
For me, personally, I will. If he ends up going to the Penguins (or which ever team), I'll be the first one in line to get a new Jarome Iginla jersey. I'll watch his games and cheer him on.
There haven't been a lot of past Flames that I've wished nothing but success for, when they get traded. But I think Iginla is outside the norm. I want Iginla to do what he thinks is best for him, and if that means going to a cup contender, then so be it.
I won't hold it against him, or the management of the team, if he gets traded. I think he's done enough for the Flames. He's gone over and beyond, what is expected of someone when they're the face of a franchise, NHL ambassador and a captain. That's obviously my opinion, but I'm sure others share it.
Let's not get things mixed up. My allegiance is to the Flaming C and who ever wears it. But I will cheer Iginla on, no matter where he goes.
Mods, can we get a poll?

Yup, I don't see why anyone would hold anything against him if he decides to leave.

No. As soon as he is gone, he is just another player playing for another team. Especially if he goes to Pittsburgh. I will openly cheer against him like I do that whole team.

who ever gets him, they automatically become my second favourite team. NO MATTER what team it is. Yes, even the Canucks.

Because him leaving would be to win a Stanley Cup and not to cash in like someone like Fleury did I would support him. The only exception would be if he went to the Canucks which I don't see happening.

So sad how this is turning into Ray Borque saga once again. Boston was far from against Ray and I imagine that Calgary will be just as civil.

Fleury wanted to stay in Calgary but was forced out because the Flames couldn't afford him. He was pressured (and deserved) to pursue big money.
On topic....of course I will. No matter the team, I will be hoping Iggy raises the Cup in June and will be an instant fan of the club he ends up on.

Whatever team he is traded to, I will cheer for in the playoffs. I will be incredibly psyched for him if he wins the cup.
