I did not know they were calling this season 4 still, been searching for two days like a fool for fresh new S05 episodes... at least I get to binge out on two episodes.

and regarding mikes intelligence, i think they have ignored it entirely since season 1. sure, they solve some cases because he is smart, but in the same way that all of the lawyers working there are smart. not specifically because of his unique skill. you mention that the lie is the main reason he knows these people, but really isn't THE reason he knows them the intelligence thing? because had he not impressed harvey when they met, he would have never took a chance on him to begin with.

I remember scoffing at how ridiculous Mikes "abilities" were early on, then again when the writers basically scrapped that idea altogether. I kinda want to see some super genius Mike this season

The pilot is still one of my favorite episodes they've done. It was just so nerdy and great.

So Lewis is normal again, that lasted long...
Needs a strong story line to start up next episode; make or break time for the show.

I'm disappointed with Suits lately; it's become very stale for me. I think I'm satiated with all the pretty outfits and faces, and I want some real drama. (Lewis blowing up when you know he's just going to go back to seeking Harvey's approval doesn't count).

I've caught up to everything now and honestly it's been the same, I thought they would try to do something new because the last one was just a bunch of flashbacks and stuff that we haven't seen. Don't get me wrong what their doing is good just not great and I'll still watch it but I hope something changes.

Am I the only one that thinks this show has devolved completely from a well written law drama to a soap opera? The last 2 seasons it really started to go down hill for me, almost every episode is about the relationships between the characters and doesn't seem to have anything to do with the premise of a law firm.

I feel much the same way. The writing has hit a stale rut, and I'm hoping it'll amp back to more law drama but don't have my hopes up.

Yeah I'd kinda like them to get back to the law of it. I watch enough other shows with soap opera qualities that I'd like for this one to stay a legal drama.

Sigh...I thought things were looking up when they killed the Jessica love story, then they go and do that.

what did everyone think of the season finale?
will be interesting to see if donna goes through with her decision or if it was just something to spice up the ending.
i was also pretty happy with how they worked the flashbacks in the episode. i am generally not very excited when they do an entire flashback episode, but this one felt like the right amount of back-story sprinkled in.
edit: was just looking at the ratings for these 6 new episodes and they were pretty bad. wonder if the next season is the last? seems like its been a pretty steady decline in viewers since the first season.

It's a Soap... The music is terrible as well.
If the "Love" crap doesn't stop I think I'm done with this show. Every episode there is some sort of love issue. I think the characters should start turning away from the camera during conflict.
Donna, "Harvey, love me and do me."
Harvey turns away from camera.
Harvey, "Donna, you know that I can't do that. Not in these conditions."
Donna, "Dammit Harvey, then I'm going to work for Lewis."
Donna turns away from camera and begins crying.
Harvey, "Donna, don't cry." Harvey begins to walk towards Donna. Then Donna storms out towards Lewis's empty secretary desk.
I think I'm just going through the motions on this show.
