don't usually see so many red numbers at a US Open.

Fun factoid: Hughes is a former Glencoe Invitiational champion, which wrapped up today. So final group on Sunday in the US Open is pretty cool.

Lol Hughes just said, "I hope I play well enough tomorrow to stay on TV so my parents can watch!"

What an eagle by Louis there. Shaping up to be a great Sunday. A Canadian, Rory,DeChambeau all at the top. And some other big names lurking.

I don't think so. His 68 is better than Louis' 70. Henley needs a birdie to join Hughes in the last group.

Do they group by previous round score? I assumed they just picked for tv.

First in last out. He's guaranteed to be in the final pairing.

Celebrated Square Root Day

Not a huge fan of widespread brutal flag placement. Save that for weak courses that get pummelled by the pros, not a true test like Torrey Pines that has the leaders at -5 Saturday night.

Torrey Pines is a weak course. Rough and pin locations are the only defense it has.

It’s why DeChambeau is having such success. Unless there are hazards in his landing area he simply hits it as far as he can, hopes for a decent lie with a very short iron into the green.

Ya, the rough has not been quite been so ungodly this week as it was in 2008. Still, with those pins and what will likely be the firmest round of the week, I will predict a round under par will win it for Louis or Hughes.

Leaderboard is crazy. Going to be really fun with Hughes in the mix.

Yeah you take Hughes and Henley out and you might have the most stacked top 10 we've seen in recent major history. Cannot see how Hughes wins, and he starts with a bogey to make it even harder to see him having a chance.

As expected Hughes is dropping off. Still going to be a good result for him.

Looks like Hughes and Henley are just about gone. Big boys going to battle on the back 9.
